I know it would be very difficult, but i really think a nether themed village in the nether would be cool! im almost positive villagers will work normally in there, and it would be a good theme to build in.

Hello Marloe! I was rewatching all your old videos and I had an epiphany, Meklan’s Veil is a HUMAN village, The Undergrowth is a DWARVEN village and Ereduin is an ELVEN village!🤯 So what does this mean I hear you ask? Well, in LOTR or The Hobbit; there are four main races: dwarven, human, elven and hobbit. You’ve created 3 of them and there only one left, a hobbit village. 😅 Also it would be great because you had the butcher in Ereduin a Hobbit away from home so this would be perfect. This would be a rather small village as Hobbits don’t like to adventure and so the village will be more clumped together. All of the buildings will be like the hobbit holes from the films and the village would most likely be built on a hillside. This would also be a great lore opportunity for the fan theorists out there as well with why one of the hobbits left to Ereduin, why they don’t like to adventure, what they are afraid of in this world and also what connections they have to the others; Elves especially.😁 I just want to see this happen.🤣 It would be just such a cool idea and I think the community would enjoy it. And now... my rant on my “eureka!” moment is done. Even if you don’t do this, I’ll still love your videos either way! Keep it up! 🤩

The book does count them differently for it had to be programmed as a separate profession.

I think most of us would be fine with you spawning in hearts since the whole series came to a halt because of this, it would be nice to see the whole series progress!

My suggestion would be to try to even out both apartments of homes, so instead of filling up one apartment, maybe make each of them half way filled up. This way you can have almost an equal amount of villagers in the tavern, kitchen, etc. And yes it's not really a big deal if you spawn more hearts if villagers don't want to give them out 😂

Unless I'm mistaken I don't think you can designate where the villagers will decide to claim beds.

@@BeanzNFam Yes ik, I meant that if he removed half of the beds from the first apartment building and now moved them into the second so that both sides of the village seem to have more of equal function and look more filled up!

If you click the book on a different token or villager each time, it will refresh the book to show the latest data. Are you sleeping at night? because you probably need to let the night run its course so all villagers get to sleep. Otherwise if its only this village that isn't working right, you could go to one of your other villages and AFK there so they generate hearts for you (IMO anything you can do in survival like getting vanilla villagers or getting resources from another village isn't cheating, but using Creative or commands to get stuff is rather cheaty) but in the end it's your choice, Minecraft is supposed to be fun, not a chore.

Most of the nights in this city I usually let pass as there’s no real danger of mobs spawning, unless I’m recording at the time! That’s a good idea about going back to previous villagers to AFK, I may have to try that out!

I agree I think Afking at another village is probably the solution. Plus you could still use those AFK days for emeralds.

grind a "trade item" like diamonds or emeralds and then chuck them into a lava pool after spawning the hearts. i normally wouldn't agree but this mod has many annoying bugs, this to name a few.

The captain sleeps in the barracks. So u have 29 guardds and one captain = 30

Go to your less populated villages and afk in em for a bit and collect hearts from them. Im sure the population effects the drop rate of hearts in a village

I agree that the spawning of hearts isn't cheating. They are happy and should be spawning anyway so I don't see a reason for a cost.

Late to the party here but spawning in hearts it totally fine by me! Honestly, I'm cool with anything that makes this series less of a burden and more enjoyable for you to play/record. TekTopia is special to me because it's how I found your channel, but I also recognize that it's probably pretty draining at times. Oh and alternatively, you could possibly use lore to explain the population issues. Altora X could be like the Mariposa Colony from Star Trek, happy and technologically advanced but unwittingly rendered infertile by one of their gadgets. In the Altoran's case, maybe the beacon or something. Just a silly idea!

So close to 100 villagers and 100 episodes! Also I think it’s fine to spawn in hearts since it’s most likely a glitch that they aren’t appearing as often. Maybe 1 emerald per heart (or 1 diamond for 5 hearts) is a reasonable price if one is needed?

Maybe there’s a limit to how many unused hearts you can hold? 🤷‍♀️ Maybe there’s a cap on how many can live in a village? I don’t know. I think I would use the hearts I have and see if that situation changes. Then, if it continues, I would be comfortable with trying to spawn them in. If it’s a cap in the mod, you shouldn’t be able to do it, and it’s worth testing to learn if it’s so. As someone else pointed out, the Captain is guard number 30.

I think it's alright to spawn the hearts at a cost. Perhaps 5-10 emeralds. Although now that I think about it, I wonder what could happen if it's done. Since it takes the parent into account.

I absolutely love this modpack but the one thing I really hate about it is it's in 1.12... if only Tango had the time to update this to like 1.14+... omg a raid farm would be suuuuuper helpful for the emeralds... Also as you said you forget to trade with the merchant because he's off to the side. This is why I mentioned, I think 2 villages ago, to put the merchant stall inside the storage building. It's so much easier to do trades when he's right next to the loot. Also what seems to have helped me with efficient trading is having extra chests in your storage building, like some shelving on the storage room walls, where you can pull stacks and other good trade items aside and out of the villagers reach. Saving stock piles of items to trade helps a lot as well as consolidating said items near the merchant stall. As much as I love the idea of a build for the merchant outside of the storage room, his true place is right next to the items he wants to buy. Not only is it easier to remember to and do trades, it also saves so much time as the travel distance is a few feet rather then across town. As always you have done an amazing job and the dedication to this series is commendable. So many others have dropped their tektopia series after finishing off getting each villager, not filling the village fully. And well... you not only made and filled an amazing village but you also did 3 more. All while keeping up the excitement and showing clear joy for this modpack after all this time. Keep up the great work Marloe!

You do have 30 guards - only one of them is a captain. Spawning in the hearts without a cost is fine.

Spawning hearts is fine. It doesn't make sense that you're not getting any so it's fair to spawn them. Honestly for this city I think it's fair to spawn them without a cost since you already have just about everything finished. In future cities maybe have them cost something until you've already got 1 of every profession?

When the game has a bug, it gets fixed when possible. Technically, you Are qualifying for earning hearts, but the game isn’t responding properly. Fixing the bug by giving yourself those hearts, imo, is Not cheating- you already paid your side of the happy villagers mechanic.

Some people have even offered their assistance for free to Tango, but he has made it clear that he is not interested... It's sad, because Minecraft got a huge jump in players after the 1.14 update... So, if Tango would upgrade, or at least take people up on their free offerings Tektopia would explode in my opinion....
