Tektronix DM501A Restoration and Calibration (Repair was Needed so Troubleshooting!)

Great video sir! I have a 501 with sticky pushbuttons. I have cleaned them and they seem to work well when they are pushed in correctly. They act as if they need some type of lubricant based cleaner for operation. What type of cleaner are you using on the pushbuttons that work well? Thanks for the help.

Great video Could you show how the weak dual jfet looks like on the 576/7 and see how to detect the weakness? I guess it is leak, or something like that

I will work on a video for this I need to get a few more failed devices for a video. Would some deeper failure analysis be something of interest?

Thanks for another informative video. I Have two of these in que to restore. I agree with your capacitor upgrade. I have gotten so I only buy 105 deg caps if available and going with a higher voltage rating is always good. I find the price difference to be negligible for a restoration.
