Daniel - I love all the tone you get out of a pretty minimal board!! Refreshed to not see a midi controller, since I don’t use one! May reconsider a few things on my board!

Thanks so much for running through your pedalboard. I am still trying delay pedals and currently have a Carbon Copy, Flashback, and Canyon on board. :-) Thought I might need to move to a single delay like the Timeline or Boss DD200 or DD500 but I guess a single delay isn't a rule. BTW, really enjoyed the concert in Woodbridge, VA back in October.
@danielcarsonguitar68734 жыл бұрын
James Harvey Hey man thanks for the comment and for coming to our concert! There are definitely no rules when it comes to delay haha! Use as many as you need :) You got some good one it sounds like 👍🏼
@jamesmharvey4 жыл бұрын
@@danielcarsonguitar6873 Thanks again Daniel. I do like the sounds from my current delays. I would like to have a digital display of the BPMs but am making it work with an external tap into the Canyon.

Thanks for the video Daniel....big fan of your playing! Few things: At the beginning when the only thing on is the tuner and amp.....is that about as clean as you ever play? How often do you use modulation (chorus, tremolo, etc)? And do you include the pedals on tour or just in the studio? Can you please do a tutorial on 'Your Grace is Enough'?! At least the intro! How you play it, effects, etc....

I asked about the recording rig at your home studio and I'm still very interested! :) I would love to see software/plugins and hardware you're using.
@danielcarsonguitar68734 жыл бұрын
Thanks for asking! It's a fun world to dive into...99% of the time I don't use any plugins at all haha...seriously, I work really hard to shape all my tones with the amp and pedals...maybe I'll add a verb or an eq to drop some low end...but I really try to leave everything alone because I know that most producers are going to shape and eq how they want to later anyway! hope that helps. Been playing around with Valhalla some...thats an amazing plugin!
@nickhanson30364 жыл бұрын
@@danielcarsonguitar6873 it super helps! Like I said in the other video a good mic pre is the step I'm missing at this point. I love the Valhalla stuff - I use it on my keys rig :)

Daddario 11’s mostly...lately I’ve enjoyed their 10.5 pack for my Tele! Liked it so much I’m considering 10’s as my next step to see if I like it. The 11’s can feel a little tight on the Tele when tuned standard

Definitely still with you! Your videos are great. What basic settings do you use for your POG? I added one to my board recently, but it always seems too organ-y to me. What's your up and down blend and dry mix for normal use? Thanks!
@danielcarsonguitar68734 жыл бұрын
Thanks for still being with me here! you guys are so kind. ok, I usually keep the dry all the way up. low all the way down. and up octave about 1 oclock or so...just a touch of the octave works for me. or for effect, In the studio, I'll do the high octave all the way up and everything else all the way down...sorta like a Mando guitar sound. Works great!
@JonEleyetGuitar4 жыл бұрын
Right on! Thanks for sharing. I'm surprised you're not running a compressor on your board. Do you prefer not to run one or do you find that the RC Booster takes care of filling out your tone??

Sir. Daniel i have something to ask something like i was searching for a tone long long time ago... what is that beutiful tone or What pedal or setting did you used in How Can I Keep From Singing From intro and to other part of that song. its sound so beautiful lots of sparkle.. :)

What's your thoughts on noise suppressors, how do you handle hum and overall noise?
@danielcarsonguitar68734 жыл бұрын
Chasing Tone I don’t have any experience with noise suppressors...but XTS built me a pedalboard with amazing quality top to bottom so that helps me a ton also the Truetone CS12 power supply is powering my whole board. That thing is incredible. I almost never have issues with that supply + the XTS board

There ARE some nights where we get dirty power at an old theater or something and on those nights I play the humbucker guitars all night which helps keep the noise/buzz down
