Every time I hear Fralin pickups, no matter what they are compared to... I always like the Fralins. I guess it's the pickup for me. :)

0:23!!! You won’t be getting people to sub with that “alarm”!

Years ago man, today I wouldn't have done that, but at that time was funny to me. Cheers!

Hi guys! Please, note that the sound I used in the video was created/optimized for the Suhr Classic T, so with the Fralin it sounds a bit too harsh.

hey man how do you set the pickup heights on the Suhr? I have the same T pickup.

Hi man! The pickup heights are always delicate and personal, I think... Anyway, in general I set the pickups at about half centimeter from the strings...

Delicate and personal? That's what she said.

All due respect, you are a great guitar player but you managed to make both pups sound horrible. Maybe it is because you used a digital interface...

Hi man, first of all thanks for your comment! As I wrote in the first comment, the sound wasn't created for the Fralin, so this is the reason why it doesn't sound really well... Moreover, to be completely honest, I didn't like the Suhr...infact I replaced it with the Fralin. Lastly, probably the signal in this video was not completely optimized for my audio interface, but I think that's a minor fact.

@@MatteoFarindolini For sure man, as I said. You are killer.. I would totally remake the video with a nice warm tube amp and some reverb and mild overdrive.

Nice playing. I struggled with your base tone, as well. Reverb was crazy weird. Almost bagged 'til I heard the Suhr's. The verb was not for me, but they had some nice mids, clarity, that cut through a setting I struggled with. Still a helpful vid. Thanks! I went as far as to trace the schematic on your triaxis.(looks like a fine preamp) 1st stage is classic Fender. 2cnd? They upped the plate resistor by 50%. For me? That up's gain potential, reduces clarity. (I couldn't do this on a Marshall- other than an 18 watt) Example --> ZZ Tops Just got Paid, Cat scratch Fever, went through Fender blonde deluxe's that upped the 1st resistor by 120%. Absolutely grind, and I LOVE them. '63 blonde vibroverb on the bench as I type - because they good..... ;-) Boogie is splitting the difference here. Your choice of the Fralin's here, may represent you want scooping the mids, and adding clarity to your current setup. While the Fralin's sound lifeless and very Silverface, to me ? They'd probably bring it for half the players going through traditional BF's. The Suhrs? I think they could make my tweeds sound like they are going to explode. That's where I live.
