been watching your videos for a few days, following along and trying your techniques on my custom bodies. I have to say you teach exactly the way I learn. Thank you for all the videos and hard work. YOU ROCK!!!

Thanks so much. I have enjoyed watching you deal with not only making a neck, but also dealing with issues. That is so encouraging to see you struggle a little as I do so often. Even though you go a little fast, I am enjoying your videos and your approach to modeling. I have built my first Tele body and fret board, not the neck. Glad to be a patron

I really liked this video. I was able to follow what you were trying to do most of the way through. The lofting between heel and neck as well as the neck and headstock seem to be real problem areas and your approach seems very straight forward. I don't know that my Fusion 360 skill are quite up to doing this today, but I didn't see any magic in what you did, so it will be just a matter of trying and learning. I think that starting from scratch like you did is a great way to go. Cheers!

Awesome! That is exactly what I like to hear. I found the issue I was having at the end of this video and I will finish it up in a live stream tomorrow.

I need a bit of help, for some reason at around 34:39 i can't get the lines to appear on the face i need for the spline. why might this be?

I have an error message that says "Not support projecting sketch geometry into same sketch, please change the target sketch or geometry"?
@TwoCherriesIns3 жыл бұрын
There are two reasons I can think of. The first is easy; you have to select the faces you want to project. The second is a bit trickier. You have to choose a projection direction and type. For the type, I like "along vector" for this situation. for the direction, I like to use the origin Z access or a line in the drawing that is parallel to it
@TwoCherriesIns3 жыл бұрын
@@itzcomplicated5 you have to create a second sketch, fusion doesn't allow projection inside a single sketch.

@@TwoCherriesIns thank you so much, after I eat lunch I'm going to hop back on fusion 360 and do some more troubleshooting. 👍

Old vid I know, but.. check out Austin shaners YT channel. You’d like it. He’s developed some great methods to achieve g2 geometry on the headstock and heel transitions. Parametric, the whole bit. Lots of good info to pick up!

You really need to do a better job explaining exactly what you're doing, what tools you're using and what quick commands you're using. The basics of how to draw in Fusion may seem redundant to you, but its the hardest thing to learn properly.

It's not intended to be fusion beginner tutorial, there are a bunch of really good channels covering that.
