From my perspective VDH said many things that should have been questioned for clarity and to expand; rather the host had his list of questions he wanted to ask and charged forward with them. I came on to listen to VDH, not the host, whom I've never heard of, but he/we missed a great opportunity to explore the thoughts and intelligence of VDH. Pity.

National Review made a horrible mistake when the magazine parted company with Victor Davis Hanson. Victor Davis Hanson is one of the most relevant voices on the right because he talks about "where the rubber meets the road" issues for the United States, both domestic and foreign. Always insightful, always relevant. National Review, on the other hand, continues to shed personnel, and seemingly continues down a path blazed by The Weekly Standard. It is understandable that NR is not a fan of Trump, but what is mind boggling, and something NR can not defend, is what the left would do to this country if everyone in the middle and on the right just threw up their hands and rejected Trump, and all the policies that his administration finally addressed (many of which had been long ignored by the GOP establishment). The biggest blind spot for NR seems to be the magazine has not awoken to the fact that the Bush 41 to Romney GOP is over, because it was not very good, and has put us in not just a real pickle, but a jar of pickles. Victor Davis Hanson does not suffer from this malady and completely understands what needs to happen in order to defeat the quasi-Marxists, the neocon warmongers, and various politically radical social engineers. He also understands that the successes are in red states, and were things are following apart are in blue states, and more specifically in metro centers with large populations.
