I Love my Telepathy pad aka peek pad. I remember when you first taught us this it really Blew me away. I use mine as a telepathy routine by asking the person to draw a image on apiece of paper, then I try to read their mind and draw the image they are thinking of.

There is a commercial product called "Hpad" by Henri Beaumont which is very similar to this, but using a magnetic one, and a small magnet installed inside of a marker, iirc. Not saying you stole or the other way around, just commenting, and Henri does provide some interesting handling and effect ideas on top of the pad itself, so I think it's worth the purchase just because of that alone if you are into doing mental magic. Probably many others also exist but it reminded me instantly of theirs because of the implementation and also that they use Rhodia notepads too.

This idea came from a book called lifetime of magical inventions by Bob Ostin. He used a card deck with blue copier paper
@trinidad173 жыл бұрын
@@gaffedacademy Although Bob Ostin doesn't ring a bell, I definitely remember when some mentalists used to buy copier paper in bulk hah. Now you have pens that read the stuff for you, where is the joy in that hahah I'm joking, technology and creativity is great, otherwise why would I watch channels like yours.

What a great idea. I've been looking at things like Psypher Pro and ParaPad, but this seems to be just as functional! How do you attach the magic slate to the back of the pad? Also, when I googled "magic slate" one of the products talked about using a stylus rather than a pen which you do here - Is there a particular kind of slate I should get?
@gaffedacademy6 ай бұрын
This is slate I used in video countrybaskets.co.uk/magic-slate-art/ Need to use normal pen, ball point pen because spectators need to write something down. Glue was just a normal glue stick
@jayplays5686 ай бұрын
@@gaffedacademy thanks, does it ever wear out of you write on it a lot? And is there a maximum number of pages you can have on top of the slate before it will not pick up what the spectator wrote?
@gaffedacademy6 ай бұрын
Don't think would wear out, I use 2 pages with a trim so hopefully they never pick both up
