Thanks for the video! QQ, at 5:06, the sip address shows 5061 port TLS for encrypted registration. TLS verify was turned off on the device end but still shows in the VCS. Why is that so? TIA

Great video! Highly looking forward to your video series regarding building a LAB for CCNP/CCIE Collab practice (covering all the latest CCNP And CCIE blueprint).

Thanks for your comment. To be honest, I'm not sure what that'll be. We're still working on a more suitable and cheaper option to make available to everyone, but progress is slow right now because of Covid-19. For now, if you work for Cisco or a Cisco partner, you're better off using dCloud.

Thanks for the vid. Quick question, from the h323 EP can you call the SIP EP by IP? If you want to call a public IP do you need anything in particular?

Thanks for this video! I have a question, is there a way an H323 endpoint would be able to call a SIP endpoint without adding @domain.com? Like adding an alias to the SIP endpoint similar to what you did in H323?

the information clear me some doubts, Thanks, I have some Question what is license key needed to do work the expressway core like call controller?, other question if I have only two endpointS like ( DX80, SX20, SX80, Cisco Room kit plus mini )and I have the multisite license but I don´t have any call controller, is possible make a conference only with h323? , what I need to dial from the endpoint? ( I suppose, for example, 401@ip dest)

For your first question -- no special license is needed for call control functions to work on the Expressway. However, registration licenses are needed for direct registration to the Expressway. Watch my first video for an explanation on the different registration licenses available. For your second question... I'm not sure I understand what you are asking. Are you referring to registration licenses instead of call control? If you are asking if H323 can be used to place calls without registering, then the answer is YES. You can even place multipoint calls with a multisite license using H323. If you are using H323 ONLY, you can only dial by IP address.

Is posible add Endpoints for example room kit pro, room 55, room 70 (register) to Expressway versión 12.6.2 in protocol h323 for test calls Interworking H323-Sip??

Hi, good video. So the h323 Alias ID section doesn't check the domain to route a call?
@CollabCrush5 жыл бұрын
Correct. An H.323 ID can be in the form of a URI, but it is not a URI because the domain is not qualified on the Expressway.

Very helpful and informative, thanks a million. I have a question though, at 1:08 before even registering the endpoints how did we have an IP address of each endpoint handy? Its confusing for me. In CUCM you get an IP address after registering with CUCM. In Expressway we register the endpoint through GUI of the device which has an IP address already? How did we have an IP address? Is it statically assigned? If yes, is there a video for that? What configuration was done prior to 1:08 mark. Sorry if it sounds silly but it not making sense to me. P.S: I am a Subscriber to your channel and I love your videos. Please don't stop posting.

Thanks for your question, and thanks for subscribing to the channel. To answer your question, let's clarify something first: the IP address you're seeing at 1:08 is on the endpoint itself. All endpoints *must* have an IP address before they can register anywhere. This is true with both the CUCM and the Expressway. Now, it is true that, in the CUCM, you do not see the IP address until after the endpoint registers. However, the endpoint must still have an IP address before it can register, and this is obtained automatically (usually through DHCP). In this video, the IP address is obtained through DHCP from the router, not statically. Hope that answers your question. Thanks for watching!

I am confused between provisioning and registration. Could you please do a separate video explaining the meaning and differences?
@harshangowda9866 Жыл бұрын
In order to register device we need to enter the server IP address and SIP URL manually into the device. Whereas during Provisioning we just enter the TMS/CUCM server details in endpoint provisioning page further the SIP URI and Software upgrade path and all other supported functionalities gets pushed from the server to the endpoint/client automatically.

Informative and nicely explained, could you please upload a video showing Expresway core and edge installation and basic configurations..
@CollabCrush5 жыл бұрын
Sure, I can do that. However, it will probably be another three or four weeks because of the projects/videos I'm currently working on... I'd like to get those finished first. Just give me a little time... I will definitely get to it.
