Looking forward to using the flag pole kit. Dug hole and set pole holder in concrete today. Have the 25 footer with solar light. Ordered the base cover and adapter to allow the flag to be flown at half staff when needed.

Did you use the screws to keep the swivels in place? Seems like you wouldn’t be able to lower the pole if needed.
@utah_outdoor_guy2 ай бұрын
I did not use the screws. I have never had any problems without the screws. I have raised and lowered it several times. I'm on my third flag because the wind always blows at my house. I purchased a heavy-duty flag off Amazon, and so far, it's lasted 9 months without any ripping or fraying.

Looks like you have water in your lower section. Did you cover the bottom of the tube you cemented into the ground?
@utah_outdoor_guy6 ай бұрын
@RobertMacCready I replied to an earlier comment saying the only thing I would have done different is to put a layer of cement in the hole before putting it in. It does have a couple feet of water in it but it doesn't affect anything on it. You are correct that I should have layered some cement at the bottom of the hole.

I was told by a customer service rep that if you are flying a 4x6 or bigger it should be lower and removed if winds will be 30mph or higher. They also told me not to fly the flag if raining or snowing. Reason , they said the poke can handle the extra weight. I flew a 4x6 flag on my 30' Sectional and only two days in a got bent. At the time I did not know about limitations because they don't state them anywhere. They replaced my sectional pole with a 25' telescoping and I am putting it up tonight in hopes that it works out fine.

when your raising the pole does it try to come out of the sleeve?
@utah_outdoor_guy10 ай бұрын
The sleeve is tight and the pole is heavy enough it doesn't move from the sleeve. One suggestion when you install it put a thin layer of cement in the bottom of the hole before you put the sleeve in. I put the sleeve in and poured the cement around it. It will keep ground water from seeping into the pole. I failed to do that, and I can hear water in the pole when I take it down or put it up. I have had it up for about a year, and it still looks great and is perfectly straight. Install was also very easy. If the sleeve is straight, it will last for years and look great.

@@utah_outdoor_guy one more question if you dont mind? i installed my 20'telescopic flagpole today i purchased it from the same company. my question is the clips, did you find it a little harder putting the flag on the clip because its really small? thanks
@utah_outdoor_guy9 ай бұрын
@Jenna-zv6ve2sx4u The clips were a little small. I forced the small end into the flag and the bigger end onto the pole. So far it hasn't had any problems with the clips

How’s the warranty ?

I haven't had to use it so I'm not sure. You can go to there website and see how the warranty is servicefirstflagpoles.com

Warranty is horrible. I purchased one of these kits for the same reason's you did. Veteran owned, looks like they stand behind their product, customer service. Oh wait, customer service and warranty. I have had this set up for 5 months. I went to lower my pole due to a hurricane coming. Section 3 from the bottom would not go down. I managed to get it down finally but now it won't slide out. I contacted service first and long story short. They will send me a new pole but I have to pay $50.00 for shipping. It's 5 months old! I asked them what happens if it happens again. I feel like I should just deal with it being a 20ft pole now and never purchase from them again. Pretty upset they handled it this way. Not happy.

So I found a comment that someone left on the BBB. It was in reference to a warranty issue. Their reply was even though he was out of warranty they still offered him a replacement. They said their warranty is 1 year minus shipping. So I guess they are offering me a full replacement minus shipping. Shipping being the $50. 🤷♂️
@Tactical_LT3 ай бұрын
@@utah_outdoor_guyAlso, I could not find that warranty info on their website. All I found was warranty for the flag alone (American Made Flag) and a 30 day return policy.

How is it a year later???
@utah_outdoor_guy5 ай бұрын
It has been great. The light still works like new. The only thing I've had to replace is the original flag. We have a lot of wind so the 2nd flag I bought was heavier duty. It is starting show signs of wear and I will be buying a new flag in the near future. I would say in a windy area the flag needs to be replaced every 6-8 months. I am very happy with the durability of the whole set up and proud to fly our American flag.
