Bummed Travis lost but this all speaks to how amazing it is for John to have his comeback run and he is even older. It’s gotta be so hard for someone who is over 45 and been out for so long to comeback at this level. Amazing job Beast!
@valitsemllaluokanavahyvaks35564 ай бұрын
I think Travis should focus 100% on the Left Arm, and leave the Right Arm as the party arm against bums for easy matches. Travis also needs some proper training partners Paul Linn, Todd Hutchings, John Brzenk, Marcio Barboza, Pavlo, Dave Chaffee, Jerry Cadorette etc. I think Travis Bagent vs Matt Mask could be a good next match on the Right arm for Travis.
@emilianodavid74194 ай бұрын
I don't agree, he can reach the top 10 with both arms. His shape in Japan 2005, 2016 and in Moldova 2018-19 demonstrate it. He was too quick to go after Kalinichenko, who is top 15 in the super heavyweight division.

It was really early in your comeback to be taking on a guy at that level with your weaker arm. At least now you know where you need to be. You did well against Derek, so you probably only need another 10% or so to be back near the top. It's exciting to have you back.

This is just the beginning of your comeback, Travis. You won one on the left, lost one on the right. You also jumped in against very high level competition very quickly. More training, more table time, take on some journeymen to rebuild those connection spots in your joints.

I think you two could have a much bigger following if you changed your format. And by that I mean, go all in and move close enough to each other to have each podcast done in the same room. With an arm wrestling table and other applicable equipment and have conversations and guests. And have your normal interactions with a half hour dedicated to stories, memories, current events, etc… I say this cause I have seen Travis tell stories, and when you are teaching students and have watched you for years. You’re a compelling watch, whatever “it” is. You have it. It’s simply a matter of finding the right format.
