In my first trip in London in 1989, I went to see "Miss Saigon with Lea Salonga", "Someone Like You with Petula Clark" and "Blood Brothers with Kiki Dee". I was so touched with Kiki Dee's performance that I immediately run to the backstage to get her authograph. She asked me "Are you a movie actor?", told her "No, I am not, but can I get your autograph". lol. That was 35 years ago, and I have not forgotten that awesome musical. The best I ever seen...simple but the storyline and music are universal. I hope to see another performance.

I had the privilege to be in the audience in 1989. Wish we could hear more from her. Definitely a tremendous talent

When I saw the show in New York Mrs Johnstone was played by Petula Clark and the sons were played by David and Shaun Cassidy and you never saw a musical end with the entire audience sobbing. SOBBING.

I saw this when Kiki was in the lead role back in the early 90's and we all bawled our eyes out! Stunning stage show.

Saw this in the early eighties before it went to the west end, in a provincial tour in her home town of Bradford, standing 10 minuet ovation, seen it many times since with various leading ladies also armature shows , but this is the bench mark that all other production's are judged on Kiki Dee is Mrs Johnston!!!

This is probably on par, if not even exceeding Linda Nolan's performance, who is my all time favourite. Extraordinary, I cry every time without fail. Including now

Doing this show in school. I'm going to bawl my eyes out on the night when this comes on. Being Eddie, it might be hard to make it look like I'm dead if I'm crying hahaha
