I did something similar as a kid with my step siblings! I didn't have photo shop, and we forgot a camera on a trip while they were visiting. So I found a picture we tool on another trip, and cut out photos of everyone and glued them onto the original. I did a good enough job that at a glance, it looks legit. I just really wanted my whole falmily together.

I am an amputee and my neighbors have stolen my Uber Eats orders three separate times. Only once was I able to get them to give it back after loudly banging on their door until they answered, they denied it until I told them I had them on camera then tried to gaslight me that it was just a misunderstanding. Stealing food from a disabled stranger is low but stealing food from a disabled person you say hi to every morning is sociopathic.

My step mom did something like that photo but she did it with a family statue for my dad for father's day. My brother and I got my dad a cowboys sticker for his PS4 not sure how but that made her angry, then she handed him a wrapped gift and once he opened it there revealed a family statue of a mother(her) a father(him) and a daughter(my step sister) hugging together. My dad looked confused and ask where's me and my brother on the family statue to which she replied"it's a family statue and only family is to be on it". I can't really say what happened next sense they started to yell at each other and I had to take my brother and step sister to a different room but one led to another and me and my brother were forced to be sent back to our mom early.when we were packing up out of anger my step mom grabbed a knife and popped my unicorn floaty(I brought it cause their apartment had a pool) because I was taking too long deflating it.once we're all packed she tries to come with us so she could fight my mom but my dad talked her out of it and told her to stay at the house. It's been 3 or 4 years sense I've last seen my dad but the last time I've been over to his house I saw that family statue right next to their new with my half baby brother in it,but my brother and I are nowhere in that family statue and she makes it clear as day. It's just her, my dad,my step sister(I have nothing against her),and my half baby brother(nothing against him) and at the bottom it reads"the perfect family". My dad still pretends that day never happened and says the me and my brother are grown and that he's finally ready to be a father just not for us but for my half brother and my half sister(from his baby mama) so I don't care anymore. He's gonna live his life and I'm gonna try and live mine with my mom and brother by my side.

I work in a museum and that one with the kids playing with the glass sculpture got my blood boiling because unfortunately this is NOT an exception. We have contacts with artworks on a daily basis even with security guards telling people not to touch and clear signage that tells people not to touch 🙄 If an art piece is in a museum it probably is worth thousands if not millions of dollars and you are going to risk breaking it because you feel like touching it? It baffles me.

My dad is an artist with really bad distance vision. The number of times he has set off a silent alarm and someone ran up yelling "STEP BACK FROM THE CANVAS" because he got caught up and wanted to get a closer look at a detail or brush-stroke... >_< I really, REALLY don't understand why anyone would ever touch a painting or sculpture in a museum though. Thank goodness my dad got eye surgery though, and can see everything so much better from the right distance!

@@ladygrndr9424 Oh yeah! Accidents happen and you shouldn't be yelled at. Actually I believe yelling at visitors is extremely unprofessional. They should give a warning and if they see the warnings are not taken seriously then they should approach the person and discuss. We also offer tours at my museum were people with low vision can request a visit with an interpreter who can help describe the artworks and they have works that are more tactile so they would bring in the equipment (gloves and things like that) to allow the visitor to touch specific works that would not be damaged when handled properly.

I definitely get having the urge to touch things. I really don't get acting on an urge without care about both immediate and long term consequences. I don't get acting on vandalism with the intent to destroy property 'just because,' like it's not the worst form of theft. I don't get standing around watching your kids vandalizing property like you're not responsible for what they are doing. It's just maddening.

That actually happened to me, I’m an only child who’s parents have remarried and my dads new wife’s children tricked me into coming to get photos taken for a gift for my dad and stepmom. And was even told I would need to help with the cost of the pictures and I was excited until I get there and just as everyone starts moving into position for the big group photo I was informed by one of my new stepsisters I wasn’t going to be in the photos because they wanted to be able to gift the pictures to their father as well…. And was forced then to have my pictures taken alone and and then pay my 100 bucks for the cost kind you they all got individual family pictures taken with their spouses and children. So Christmas comes and they give my dad and stepmom the pictures the one on top of all of them together and then my single picture in the frame below. I was only a teenager at the time but was so broken hearted I even told my dad and stepmom what they did yet I was told to stop being so ungrateful I was included and the photo still remains hung up in the house and it’s been 20 years since and I’m still not included in any “ family “ photos even when present at the family functions 😖

Exactly this. The step mom is Disney level awful for several reasons. The fact that the kid is positioned so far away says sooo much. The fact that she says she loves the pictures but also just wants ones with her own kids proves that she still thinks of him as separate and not apart of her family; as lesser than her own kids. If those kids ever saw the pictures of them being photoshopped out that would ruin them emotionally, no matter how young they are that would damage them so badly. But nothing makes me angrier than the dads allowing it!! The one text she’s talking to the dad and he says “sure love.” Shame on you for marrying or being with someone that doesn’t love your child like their own, but more importantly it is your job to put that child first in any and every situation. This is why you hear so many horror stories about step-parents. People of divorce, you do deserve to be happy, but not at the expense of your child. You made the decision to have a child, you made the decision to get divorced (by signing papers) you do not get to be with a new woman that comes before your kid. They are only with you for 18 years, their happiness and emotional well-being is your responsibility until they are an adult. Be better.

I would never be so mean as to want to exclude my step child let alone do it, I wish they would see and actually care about the painful message it sends the child and how awful rejection from a parental figure can feel. My father rejected me my whole life and favored my brother, in fact his entire side of the family did the same, and it really scarred me, I still have such low confidence and self esteem when I get around them, and Im in my 40's. Its caused me to avoid contact with them while my brother has an amazing relationship with all of them. Straight up telling them: if you have children with your new girlfriend, just forget I'm your child! I will not accept them as siblings and you'll be dead to me! Dad agreed and thirty years later still no children with her and mom had her tubes tied after I had been born so... Now, why did I say that to them? Because I hated the way my cousins were treated by their dads once they started a "new family", I always felt terrible for them (years later I found out my sister had told both of our parents pretty much the same thing I told them on a different occasion). She got married so this means she has at least some morals. People think I'm the most evil bastard ever because of the fact that I'm direct and assertive; passive-aggressive people tend to be confused by this; as such, I love animals, art, piano music, making videos of my cats and my dog screwing around; I also would not become involved with a single parent due to paternity fraud issues and the complete lack of legislation in the area of step-parent rights. If my spouse died, for example, and the biological father somehow gained custody of his child (custody taken from me) I could end up paying child support to the biological father in order to help him raise his own child (this can and does happen). To most women, I am the most rancid piece of shit in existence because I won't willingly take on the burden of another person's responsibility; as such, I couldn't fathom photoshopping step-children out. Am I disgusting as well? Would you regard me as a moral person?

I know EXACTLY what Walmart that last lady was at. This is not the first time people in that neighborhood have called the cops on people who think someone is "illegal." It happened to me when I was 14 and trying to buy hand tools for a school project, and it made me terrified of the Glendora Police. No matter how many times I gave them my vital information, they didn't believe me and they got incredibly aggressive with me. It took a store clerk who saw what was going down to step in and keep them from arresting me. Even then, the only reason they left me alone was because she started screaming at them. I haven't been back there in almost a decade. People like her are a lot of the reason why people are moving OUT of Glendora. The city is full of people like her, and it sucks because so many of the people leaving have lived there almost their whole lives. Also, this lady works at the local Dennys. She once served me and my mom and was not only horrendously rude to us but took her sweet time getting us the bill, which she basically threw at us. At first, I was like, "Oh, she's just having a bad day. I get it." But as a person who's not white-passing, I get why she was such a jerk now.

I'm 22. My step mom has been in my life since I was about 6. She has been more of a parent to me than either of my biological parents. She took me in day one. She treated me and loved me as if I was her own. Some step parents need to realize you choose that child(ren) when you chose their parent. I'm so glad I was blessed with that wonderful woman! I would not be the person I am today without her unconditional love and support. It just blows my mind how awful some step parents are to their step children.

I have a step mom and she’s the sweetest most patient person I ever met. I lost my mom when I was young but still remember being close to her (I don’t really remember specific memories tho). When my dad wanted my brother and I’s blessing for him to start seeing our step mom we said yes as it would not be fair to him. He still loves my bio mom deeply but he’s already been through so much and if he feels close to another it’s not our place to not support when he has supported us all this time. I’m so happy we did say yes tho because my step mom truly became my second. I’m so thankful she is there to support and cherish us. She is not ashamed to be a step mother and she herself has two other kids from a prior marriage. She makes it a point to never replace our mother but instead be a figure in our life we can turn to when needed. I wish everyone was as lucky to have a step parent like that and I hope that for those with no support system bio or no that they have strength to love themselves so that one day that love would extend to another and they would find true happiness with true family ❤

@@SageKittyDraws You and Mandi S will get a kick out of this-- my Mom remarried when I was 19 so I didn't grow up with my step-siblings, all older than me. At first we always did several group photos, my Mom with me and bro, step-Dad with his kids, then all of us, etc. When I was 20-something, at a wedding, I walked into a room and someone was taking a photo of my step-siblings all together. I waited until I knew they had a few, but then I jumped right in the middle with my arms out, jokingly like "I'm in with you all now too!" Of course people taking the photo got that too. We were all laughing and it is still (I'm 50s now) a family-favorite photo, framed in many homes. 😁 At our ages, it was understandable to sometimes do some "bio-family" photos, but with kids this young this does sicken me. And even our family still always had MORE photos of the whole group together!

It does feel super mean, speaking as the step child. My father's new wife had him convert to Catholicism and claim me as deceased to the church, I think it's a technicality because having children implies he's been married and divorced before, which is a no go to convert? Not sure about why, but it stung when I found out .. but I'm not suprised, she excludes me from gatherings and stuff. I just miss my dad at this point.

This orange story made me think about that day in high school, my goth friend got an orange thrown at her and it splashed on her back, by the popular kids, mind you I was bullied too but her more, and when a friend gets bullied I just cannot take it. I turned around, screamed and swearing at them for being ''SO FUNNY'' and told them I was gonna go see the guard and look at the cameras, they got super scared of me cuz I was that small girl at school that was always happy. The next few days their parents got to school and they had to apologise to my friend with me here, they never even bothered to bully her again when I was there!

@@RisaBeesa I'm so sorry to hear that. Your poor kid. My older child's father, whose background is Portuguese/Indian/English, was once pulled up by cops here in Australia, whose line of questioning clearly indicated they though he was an Indigenous Australian. He was on his way back from the shops (5 min away) with milk for me, a then breast-feeding mother. Because their communications network was so primitive at the time, they saw his name pop up and detained him for an hour and a half. He was on their system because two years earlier he had been the VICTIM of a hold-up at knife-point. When he finally got home I was out of my mind with worry. He has never committed, let alone been charged, with any crime. We had no mobile phones at the time. I wanted to make a complaint, but he wearily told me not to. That was the day I learnt a) that the story was his to tell, not mine, and b) that this was not the first time this had happened to him. Imagine what actual Indigenous Australians go through. Was what the girls did awful? Yes. What mattered was that he loved me and raised me as his own daughter. I never went looking for the other guy. I figured if he didn’t want me then I don’t want him now.

I know a couple who they are each other's second marriages. The wife said that her kids started calling her second husband "dad." She says it's because he was more of a dad to them than their biological father.

I hope that your sister can say the same, because I know growing up with a step parent and everyone telling me that he treated me like his daughter when in reality that wasn't the case. I knew as soon as my little brother was born that we were treated differently especially when coming from my step dad. It wasn't until I was in my late teens that my step dad let it be known that he was constantly on my case because he felt that he needed to protect his son from me and he never saw me as a part of the family; I was just a previous child from another guy who would never accept him because he wasn't my blood. I never accepted him because he was the reason why I didn't have a relationship with my older brother and as soon as my other brother was born, I was casted out because I was 4 years older and was "hard to handle." Growing up, the family dynamic was where I took care of everyone else because they thought that I was going to live with them for the rest of their lives and they never taught my younger brother how to do for himself until I moved out. As we both grew up into adulthood and we talked, he was surprised by how I saw our childhoods because from his viewpoint, he didn't see anything wrong with how I was treated due to him being raised in that environment. No one asked, and I know that your relationship with your family is hopefully vastly different from mine because at the moment, I'm in no contact with pretty much all of them, but I just wanted to say something on the behalf of the people who are in a similar predicament to me. It's a great thing though that you can say that he didn't treat her different from your view!

As per the millionaire who cut down the trees to improve his view, here in Australia similar things have been done by people wanting better ocean views (from cutting to poisoning trees) and the local councils reacts by either putting giant billboards explaining what has happened in the spot and even saying for every tree cut or poisoned we will plant 2 more trees and the billboards won't come down until they are fully grown. Some councils either put billboards or hessian screens and even one place in Sydney I think put up stacked shipping containers and then had an artist paint trees on to them (with the ocean in the background). A lovely "fuck you" to those who think they are entitled to do that shit.

I planted trees when I worked for a local council, as part of my job. Planted a whole heap and two weeks later a strip about 4m x 5m were gone. Replanted, happened again. The view they wanted? A boat ramp on the other side of the channel. No billboards in those days, just never replanted.

I don’t have a step kid. My son (who is the product of his mother’s first marriage) is simply my son. I have been his dad since he was 5 and he is now 20 and serving in the US Army! He’s my SON and I would never think of cropping him out of the pictures with my kids from my first marriage. Do better people.

The dude getting the pizzas kicked out of his hands; I feel so bad for him. But it reminded me of when I was in the 6th grade. I was bullied and picked on pretty bad. One day we were waiting to be let into the classroom after lunch. It had rained and one of the popular girls swung her leg back to kick one of those big red balls at me. The ball was in a good sized mud puddle. When she swung her leg forward her foot connected with the ball but her leg kept going. Then her other foot slipped and she landed flat on her back in the mud puddle. 🤣🤣🤣 Karma took her out. And the ball missed me too. 🤣🤣🤣 Moral of the story? Don't be a jackass.

The package delivery system in other countries really confuses me. It looks almost like an invite to steal packages from someone's porch. Delivery drivers will come up to your door to personally hand you the package in my country. If you happen to be away from home, your package gets dropped off at a pick-up point, usually located in a store nearby. You need to show ID or order confirmation to pick up your package. This way, packages never get stolen :D

Same... I lived in the states for 2 years and when they delivered packages, they always put them in between that little fly-net-door and the real actual door and i was always sooo baffled that they d do that... Like... Literally anyone can come and take that?! We lived in a relatively good neighborhood but still... Mind boggling

Yeah, I'm genuinely not sure if it's a bad thing or not. You hear about porch pirates and stuff like that driver who steal stuff but I've never had anything stolen from my porch and I've never heard from anyone in real life who had it happen either. It obviously does happen but I wonder how prevalent it actually is, do I just live in a weirdly theft-free place? Is it something that gets talked about way more than it happens? No idea. I mostly wish there was a way to do a "dont deliver if not home" on truly irreplaceable packages and have them leave the rest, because when I have had to go pick something up it was always the dumbest, most easily replaceable things and really important/expensive things got left on the porch.

in my country all parcels go to pick up points or lockers (you get a text with the code to the locker) if delivered by the post and home delivery is really expensive. courier companies deliver home generally but even they won't leave parcels unattended, they just try to re-deliver the next day or take it to a pick up point. i imagine our weather conditions play a part, you can't really leave parcels outside to -20C weather. the fact that in america parcels are just left outside freaks me out too :D
