I'm a 68 yo Vietnam-Era Vet now retired, disabled, & lives alone. Your videos always make me smile &/or laugh. I'll watch them repeatedly over & over again just before I go to bed. These videos take the edge off the boredom and stresses of the day - I fall asleep quicker & sleep better. When I was growing up during the '50s & '60s our family had two dogs (Cocker Spaniel & a Cocka-Pu); We could communicate & understand them better than people. Facial & oral signals - words or sounds. When we asked them - if, they wanted a bone; they both would wag their tails a say "bone" just like a human. Whenever eye contact was established - we'd wait for each other - to see who'd make the first sound. These moments were intense with anticipation - Many times we would breakout laughing before they made a sound - It was a facial battle of expressions to get the other to make the next sound. Your videos are filled with examples that bring back wonderful memories. Thank You!!!!!

Dogs can understand speech more or less, but basically you have to give words a meaning by combining tone, actions and body language. I tend to talk a lot to my dog and I can tell you that he understands a lot what I am saying. Human babies wont pick up anything either if you don't give your words a meaning, that's why we use those "stupid" books with pictures of cats and cows in them for teaching.

@@metropcs1750~ Do some research. They shed ALOT & need ALOT of exercise. If you're a couch potato-type family, that's not going to work. Working dogs need a "job" to do or extensive exercise or they take out their frustration on their home (furniture, pillowe, toys, etc.) They're bred to pull a sled for many miles. And huskies can't be walked off leash. Once they decide to chase or run, a human cannot catch up to them!
