I've had this service for about a week now. Coverage has been pretty solid on LTE everywhere I've been on my phone.

They do offer good service for very little money and for an MVNO they do have good customer service as well. I haven't compared them with Mint Mobile to see which one is better, but I have been happy with their customer service and overall with the service itself. I brought a One Plus 8 over and it has worked well with the network.

You can go here - www.frugalrules.com/go/tello and select "bring your phone." From there you can input the model you have to see what's compatible. They also have some Samsung models for sale, so you can check those as well to get an idea of what works with Tello. 🙂

I know you have great coverage, but outside of Omaha, according to the map the service would not be good for Nebraska residents. But overall it looks pretty good In about a year or so I will be looking at these cheaper plans. I currently have T-Mobile. As a senior I pay $40 a month for unlimited which is pretty comparable to the cheaper options. And Nicole, as a Charger fan I can imagine you were crushed by what happened last night. But as a neutral fan I didn’t care who won as long as there was no tie. And for me that was the most exciting game of the season so far. The Chargers did a great job in coming back from a 15 point deficit. Before that happened I thought the game was over.

Yea, in rural areas it wasn't as reliable as a service on Verizon or AT&T , for example. We've been testing Twigby for a few months and have really been pleased with their reliability as they're on Verizon. It was a pretty painful game to lose. But, par for the course being a Chargers fan. :) At least we have the Cowboys to cheer for since John loves them. We're not overly confident in them tho.

If someone wants the Verizon network through some mvno, then US Mobile may also be a good choice to consider. Still, if the T-Mobile network is acceptable in his area, then Tello should be his preferred choice because of the price advantages within Tello's custom plans.

Good Review. I wanted to sign up to tello, coming from Consumer Cellular. I have a 2nd Gen iPhone SE, pretty new and entered the IMEI/ESN number. First just the IMEI number and said it wasn't supported. Then I entered the IMEI/ESN number as one long number and same deal. I sent an email and got no helpful information, just some tech poop I don't get. How is my iphone not ok with this service.

Odd. I have the same phone...SE2, and when checking the IMEI, my phone is compatible. Did you purchase your phone new or is it a refurb? Also, did you enter the IMEI as one long number without the spaces or with the spaces? My IMEI is divided up into four separate groups... two numbers (space) six numbers (space) six numbers (space) one number. When I entered the IMEI into the Tello check phone box, I entered it as one long number.
