Gona try to use this on my new L900 pro se aliexpress drone. It has Gps but fpv over wifi. Curious what it will do. I had a tello ones god bless his soul, he is now a submarine.

I got 746ft at 98ft height with the tp link using the fpv app ! Thanks for the tip on the extender have screen shot but only of an earlier attempt 646ft will put video up on my youtube

Good job, just one question. Can you fly the Tello higher than 90 feet?

I haven't flown it in a very long time, but I think there was a height limiter on it. With that said, I don't think you'd ever want to fly it that high since it's so small and light. You're certain to lose it that way.

It should just turn off data so I usually go ahead and do that. That way I’m. It getting notifications and stuff as well. But the main interference comes from Bluetooth so I guess you could just turn that off.

How did you get your Tello to fly over 18/19 fps? Are you running different props than stock? It looked like you got up to almost 23 or 24 fps what it appeared to be flying INTO the wind. Impressive....didint know if this is completely stock other than using the repeater or if you did something to it to make it fly faster? Top speed is listed as 18 fps I believe.

Awesome video. I haven't had a chance to try a wifi repeater yet. I just want it so there are no wifi issues at 100 feet up. I don't need to go that far away.

I always enjoy your videos! 🙂You are very knowledgeable about Tello so I have a question for you Gadget Inspector. My Tello is approximately 3 years old. Little fellow has never given me any trouble until two months ago. I can't do the latest update because it keeps telling me that the battery is less than 50% charged. I had three and the message is the same. I even bought a new official Tello battery from Best Buy and I get the same message. I've contacted Ryze Robotics and they have offered 3-4 suggestions but nothing gets Tello flying. The last two things Ryze said was Android phone has to be version 4.4 or higher. Mine is version 9. The last suggestion was try to do the update on using another phone. Well, I'm not going to buy another phone just for that and I haven't had a chance to borrow someone's phone to try that. Do you have any ideas on how to get Tello in the air again?? Any help is greatly appreciated, sir.

Good video. I use a BT controller with the Tello. It works very well. I like it better than using a phone.Also, I just bought this WiFi Range extender. Mainly to improve the video signal. Does your final comment on using airplane mode means that you can't use a BT controller and a WiFi range extender simultaneously? Anybody has been able to successfully use both items at the same time with the Tello?

I saw a setup where the controller is connected via otg cable instead of Bluetooth to reduce interference

This is the one recommended on the Tello website: amzn.to/3cqem8X. Gamesir T1D. I never tried it but I tried another brand and I thought it lagged some. I only fly it with my phone now.

I tried a playstation 4 controller. It connected and worked for about 2 minutes. Lost bluetooth connection and had a hard time regaining control of the Tello.
