I remember telluride from the 1960's/70 when dogs were sleeping in the street in front of the old bank and hippies were walking down the street barefooted and poppies were growing in the empty lots of the main street and back street ruins... I was a kid camping at the city campground there at the box end of the town with my parents... I remember the drive out of there taking a left and going straight up and my dad talking about how he bet you could buy land there cheap and how gorgeous it was... Definitely a different world...

Awesome video! Loved all your cool aerial shots and the ones with Bella 😊 I went to Telluride this summer with a few girlfriends and we stayed downtown. So pretty! I was at Cowboy Coffee every morning. We took a day trip to Ouray to do the Perimeter trail. Gorgeous! We stopped at the Orvis Hot Springs on the way back and man, what an experience. We loved it after a long hike! We did Bridal Veil trail in telluride and that was a bit harder but so worth it. I loved my trip and can't wait to get back with my kids, husband, and dog! ❤

@@TampaAerialMedia I live 20 minutes from New Orleans, so I spent time in downtown Colorado Springs this past visit. It was much easier walking and breathing. My first visit last summer I tried Garden of the God's, got dizzy, and fell down! I guess the altitude change takes small steps. 🌞

Hello Randy, In the end I didn't manage to fall asleep until I watched the whole video and didn't wait until tomorrow. however, I have to get up early to go to work. otherwise, the video is superb ,, the architecture and the landscape strongly resembles that of europe (switzerland, the french alps ...) Grew up in Ouray in the '60s. How it has changed. My parents owned the Ashley house 2 block up from the Beaumont Hotel. Fantastic video of the views. The reason for no guardrails on Million Dollar Hiway is so that county & state snowplow can push the snow over the edge of the road in winter. M

This past August, I visited Ouray, Telluride, Glenwood Springs, Estes Park, Silverton, Colorado Springs, Ridgway. My favorite place was Ouray Colorado. I stayed at the hotel, Ouray. In Telluride, I stayed at The Victorian Inn a block away from the gondola.

Having grown in that area excellent presentation. One big thing I may have missed you saying Black Bear Pass is a one way road from Hwy 550 to Bridal Veil falls. Do not go the wrong , last week a lady did go the wrong way. She tried to turn around and made a mistake and went and rolled 400 feet down the cliffs.

Ouray Chalet Inn was just recently turned into affordable housing for the locals. I had stayed there a few times and loved the place. The price of a room there was unbeatable. The secret is out about Ouray.

I'm trying to plan a 7 to 10 day trip to show my 75 yr old father Colorado which I've been to many times, him never. I'm wanting to show him Ouray to Estes Park, to eventually drive down the front range along the foothills to Boulder then fly out of Denver. So hard to plan as there's little time and so much I'd like him to see. Great video, gave me some ideas so thank you.

It is very expensive! We used to ride the area on motorcycles which gives a unique way of seeing the area. Beautiful area and a different attitude many people here live by.

Just FYI, the switch backs on black Bear Rd are one way into Telluride so you have to start by 550 and go to Telluride. There are a couple of other mountain pass trails that are 2 way in and out of Telluride.

oh wow really? that’s awesome! must have been especially awesome back then and less expensive. i just brought my twin sons out there last year we did a whole southwest tour. We especially loved southwest CO Creede, Durango, The Million Dollar Highway, Ouray(we soaked in the hot springs pool a few times while there and loved it) and Telluride. So much to do and see there. Amazing natural beauty on a whole other level. We loved it. I had been before but long time ago but it was my sons first time and they were blown away. Epic trip.

@@TheEwokExplorer not bother you, but I grew up on a ranck in Delores co. I worked at the idarado mine in Telluride and lived at the old Silver Belle saloon. The lady that owned it was the madam there back when she was a young woman 2 of my cousins and I lived there and done odd jobs for here for our rent which was $35.00 per month for all 3 of us this was in 1966 I think but there wasn't much going on around Telluride back then. Then later in life my wife and I lived in Montrose, and I worked in the log woods . I remember when they filmed the movie True Grit there at Ridgeway with John Wayne . Some of it was filmed north of Durango, up on Dallas divide and around all that country up there that was in the early 70s if memory serves me correctly.

Definitely would add Mouse's Chocolates & Coffee on the main drag across from rooftop brewery. And China Clipper Inn, a block down, excellent buffet breakfast included

Stayed at China Clipper, we recommend this bed,and breakfast. Eric ,found a cool place to buy his beer. . After along drive, touring Telluride, the best night at B&B in Ouray
