I'm 79 and was born in Grand Junction, CO, Mesa County. Ouray, which you mispronounce as "oo-ray", is actually pronounced "yer-ray" by the natives of the area. Just thought you might like to know. 😁👍

I grew up in Telluride, Ouray and Durango. Really appreciate and enjoyed this video. Our house (no longer there) was at the bottom of Bridal Veil Falls and a short distance away. There is a lot to discover and enjoy there. Great video.

I'm flying to telluride to go silverton for a wedding, is there taxis to take you? , don't want to drive looks beautiful but scary

@@pilarreynolds6440 I am not aware of a taxi company per se, but Uber is available. Check prices first, it might be cheaper to rent a car in Montrose. If you want to travel the back country, San Juan Scenic Jeep tours is a great option. Their drivers are experienced and make stops along the way to get out, walk around, take photos, etc. Not sure when you'll be there but if you can take the Durango to Silverton narrow gauge railroad. You have to plan ahead because they tend to stay busy. It is amazing. Hope this helps.

Great video I'm trying to plan a trip next summer to Telluride. We lived in Nebraska used to take vacations to Colorado quite a bit but haven't been there probably 7 years

Thanks for a great video! I am planning to visit there next month. I can't decide a location of an accommodation between Ouray and Telluride. Peopl said Ouray is better than Telluride because the town is bigger, but the scenery looks much better in Telluride!! What's your opinion? Thanks

Both are great options and both equally scenic. Telluride might be a little nicer, but Ouray is a little more centrally located in the area. Telluride also is a little cooler than Ouray because how it sits in the mountains.

I think the reason is because in the winter the snow will not run off the road or can’t be plowed with guard rails then making it not being able to use in the winter
