I think up scaling is important for a TV because most of the broadcast we get is still in 1080p. Sony might be a bit better than the LG G4 in this regard with Samsung S95d behind both of them. The G4 is now bright enough for a bright sun lit room which was the reason I took back a couple of LG Oleds in the past . The processor in the Sony brings more definition and resolution in the upscaled picture from 1080p but its slightly darker over all. If your placing the Sony in a dark room that's not of a concern. The Samsung is no doubt bright/brighter for some uses but its upscaling is not as good as LG's or Sony's

Dan, do you think its worth to pay extra for the G4 over the C4 🤔 You brievely touched upon it towards the end of your video, brightness wise (MLA) ... but, one might wonder if the G4 is that much better when it comes to picture processing and sound output wise (40 watts vs 60 watts) or are the differences negligible to the average Joe 🤔

My friend is still using the c9 and its going strong, some great prices on the C3 at the mo, the C4 should fall in price alot black Friday and onwards

@@TellyDan I half expect retailers to still be trying to shift C3s come Black Friday. People don't have the money. I don't see any major G4 reductions until next Easter, although Currys are doing 20% off the G4 now which takes it down to £1900 at 55".

How much clearance is there between the base and the TV when placed in the high position if I buy this TV and put it on the stand? My current TV is mounted on a wall bracket and my center channer is just under 7" tall (a Klipsch RP-504C2) and is placed on a media shelving unit.

good video! i have the same tv. couple of questions if poss. 1) when i turn on a ps5 (hdmi cec set to on on both the tv and ps5) the tv doesnt switch to the ps5. any ideas? 2) voice recognition - it works when its switched on. turn the tv off and next time the tv is turned on it doesnt work until manually turning it off/back on again. any experience with this?

Hello.... Anyone have the product code and name for the plastic cover lid that cover the screws of the support wall? At Brazil we not have the option to buy this cover or the mount stand for table (I bought at Europe this stand for table and need this plastic cover to hidden the screws)..... This for LG is badly (at manual indicate the model part code for stand table, but LG not sell it at Brazil).....

Not only is that stand ghastly compared to the B3/C3 stand, the G4 isn't supposed to come with a stand. The Currys website even states the G4 doesn't come with a stand. What's going on here?

The 55 and 65" does come with stand or wall mount I purchased my g4 from currys the g4 model with stand model number ends with letters ls the wall mount model ends with lw
