I've struggled with being the one my parents relied on for emotional support when they ended up taking turns being in the hospital. I was very young (ages 7-10), had to help raise my little brother, and my needs were never met, never really got to be a child. Later on I joined the US Army and had some rough experiences which added to the previous problems leading to a lifetime of suffering. Only recently did I finally trust someone (a hypnotist) to let them in and we're working on my issues. We just had our first real breakthrough a week before this track dropped (the 23rd). I wish I could convey how much your lyrics vibe with me at this point. It's almost surreal with the timing of it all. One of a few times I'm starting to see the Universe is telling me there is still beauty in the world and I've always been worthy of it. This has become one of my favorite tracks. You have my sincerely deep gratitude for such great lyrics matched with awesome music. Thank you so much.

That has been 100% my objective with writing lyrics, so your experience means the world to me. It sounds like you are an incredibly strong person, have gone through so much, and I hope you are proud for how far you've come. You've proven to yourself that you can overcome anything. And I'm happy to hear you are continuing to find ways to heal and grow, and doing the work to do so.
