TELT - Base Tunnel Italy - Press conference 31 August 2023, Rome

Daniel BURSAUX, President and Maurizio BUFALINI, General Director of TELT announce the winners of the international tender for the excavation and construction of the Lyon-Turin base tunnel on the Italian side.
This contract, worth more than €1 billion, is the last for the major civil works on the international section of the new freight and passenger railway line between Italy and France.
After the start of work on the Mont Cenis base tunnel on French territory in 2021, the contract for the work in the Susa Valley represents a milestone in the development of this infrastructure as part of the European Green Deal.
