Ayn Rand philosophy gave high importance to concepts like Free will, values, virtues and defined "self" only based on rational reasoning. It has nothing to do with doing bad things to others. Also, core of her philosophy is integrity which is not having conflict between reasoning conscious mind and reality. This philosophy in the video just says do what you want or what you like and that is selfishness/swardham. She wrote a thousand pages on "virtue of selfishness". The guys who made the video were premature to not even read what she actually said and just blindly translated some content on internet into telugu - literal translation and utterly failed in it. Nihilism and Materialism doesn't consider the important of human mind, free will and doesn't ascribe "values" and virtues to things and acts in life. So the morals are loose in these isms. But Rand's ethics are so strong. You cant even use "force" on other people according to Rand. It's indepth philosophy of morality, reason and self-esteem.

Bro, you explained it very well. IMHO, most of the people are following this only, Self-Interest (SI) : becoming a Rich person, he is becoming rich SI : serving people, they are serving people SI : Taking care of himself and his loved ones, he is doing that SI : Making the world a better place, he is doing that SI : Innovate something new, he is doing that SI : Space exploration, he is doing that SI : Spirituality, he is going that way SI : Humanity, he is helping people Etc. Finally, SI : passionate about something, he is doing that

I am so happy many Indians are discovering Ayn Rand. Objectivism is a big leap from such a collectivist culture. But intellectual enquiry has also been a culture across the whole of Indian society. The more peaceful aspects of Indian philosophy play a useful part in allowing not repressing the sharing of new ideas, even if they conflict with the consensus. This is not the case with particular cultures not too far away. To all that dig in, trying to understand Objectivism, I wish you best premises. And to those that don't but do not obstruct those that do, you're already on a good path. From an Objectivist position I'll add namaste 🙏.

Pls read my below comment to the video. It might give u an idea about Ayn Rand: Self interest tappa inkem alochinchalsina pani ledha? Asalu OBJECTIVISM ni sarigga chadivaara? RGV is misinterpreting rand and this video did the same. She emphasised REASON with OBJECTIVE REALITY as metaphysics and Self interest as the centre. Reason ante karanaalu vethakadam kadu. It's RATIONALITY. Nee whims ni manam telugu lo cheppukune MANASU ni kuda RATIONALITY tho nadapali. RGV laga ichamochinatu bathakadam Ayn Rand philosophy kadu. Read her definition of INTEGRITY. Read the way she defined SEX. She said it should be ONLY and ONLY an expression towards highest values in self. HER PHILOSOPHY IS BASED AROUND RATIONAL VALUES OF LIFE. Aa values ki expression kaani sexual act IMMORAL ani cheppindi. She proposed free market economics for society and politics. There is lots of depth in Objectivism. Self interest or "selfishness" ni kuda chala noble way lo define chesindi. Read objectivist epistemology where she wrote about "self". Annitini misinterpret chesi RGV lantollu and ee video lantollu OBJECTIVISM ni NIHILISM laga chupisthunaru. She fought against NIHILISM and MATERIALISM. If you dont want to read her, its fine. ENOUGH OF MISINTERPRETATION. People are seeing Objectivism as nihilism these days because of this misinterpretation. It's a minimum responsibility to read her non-fiction before commenting or reviewing it.

Yes Ayn Rand was absolutely right. But if we observe the logic being good or bad or selfie is one's individual choice. Everyone is master of their philosophy so if you have moral values u don't need to listen or consider others opinions but most of the people can't do that. Cause they have no courage to fallow their heart. Simply they blame the circumstances

in fact, the majority of people are very close to her philosophy in their acts like selfishness, ego, but they don't reveal it as they are constrained by society, but the tragedy is that they are not following as they understood, but they do it as it gives sensual pleasure and are driven by materialistic values.

Though it is too early too comment without reading the whole book, what I understood from the philosophy is individual well being over anything else. This philosophy is ambiguous. Like you do anything, moral or immoral, good or bad, legal or illegal, you can speak this philosophy in support for your actions. If this philosophy is talking about self interest and not clearly defining its boundaries, then this can foster a society where harmony between the occupants will be lacking yet justified through this philosophy. Life becomes dull when you live for yourself.

Nice video. Too much of anything is bad. RGV ni andharu mokkuthunntaaru. But, the biggest problem with RGV is that he tells too much truth. Too much truth is not good. Some thoughts should remain limited to our minds. However, I do admire his honesty. I even agree with him to a certain extent. Similarly, the biggest problem with Ayn rand's philosophy is that too much selfishness is not good, not just for society but also for the selfish individual. However, I accept that a considerable level of selfishness is necessary for a happy and prosperous life. But, you must save the drowning baby if you can. That is the statement that clearly shows the flaw in Philosophy.

ayn rand is really a honest person. And her philosophy says truth what is happening in this world and how human beings behave .she is right we should follow her bcz in this society if we earn by our own hard work and sacrifice why we should give to the person who is not helpfull for us .Our society and our ethics tell that treat everyone equal and help everyone but how its not possible, first thing all are not equal all are unique how can we treat them equal and how can i help person who means nthng to me .If we follow ayn rand we will never feel guilt for the natural behaviour we have . Hardworking people will be happy .

you cant give happines to others .everyone shuld seek happines by their own efforts that happines is ultimate .she doesnt say not to help .she says u must deserve that help .unnecessary helping and thinking that you helped and being happy is stupidity. offer help only when you think they deserve your help .helping random people is like increasing leeches in society.who will never work just depend on others .

If every human being, at once live with self-interest and not with morals. That day became the end of the world. This is my philosophy. Because, the reason for still now we are living happily was the sacrifices made by the very rare great persons in the world with without selfishness. We should thankful to such great personalities and not to those who promote selfishness. Jai hind.

A very good article and presented well but I some how think that Aynd Rand views are not clearly captured, her thoughts were viewed in more negative dimension rather than positive. Yes she promoted 'selfishness with a reason and careful study' but this was given enough significance and viewers may take it in a different way. I read fountain head a year back and this is my all time favorite book. Anyways, good efforts . This article might have reached many people. Keep up the good work and equally concentrate on the inner values when doing an article.
