We had a family cabin just down from Mowats Landing! Spent a lot of summers and winters fishing, boating, canoeing and snowmobiling that area! Great fishing over at the dam where everyone portages to go up to Lady Evelyn! I miss it dearly!!

That would have been an amazing place to spend summers at a family cottage. A great jump off point to explore so many areas. Cheers.

Younger birds often look bigger than an adult because they still have some down beneath the contour feathers, bulking them up a bit...

Interesting! I had no idea - but that makes perfect sense. Thank you for watching and sharing.

Your video 2/5 randomly popped up on my home page this morning. I watched the first 10-ish minutes and really enjoyed what I saw so, I’m starting here and watching all 5 in order. I did subscribe. Great camera work and editing. Are you familiar with the book Backcountry Eats by Kevin Ride? It’s become my dehydrating Bible

Thank you for your comment Alan! I’m glad that you enjoyed the video. I hope that you also enjoy the other four. And yes… I am familiar with Kevin Rides book although I have not had a chance to read it. I am a subscriber to his channel and I do enjoy his content. Take care.
