TEMAGAMI: Donald Lake Loop - Redemption trip with The Boys

This is a four day 'redemption' trip through Donald Lake beginning and ending at The Sportsman's Lodge. After last year's Donald Lake Loop was cut short, I knew that I had to come back to fully explore this part of Temagami. I was not disappointed. Thanks for watching.

Jealous! Wish I could get a group a guys committed to doing trips in the back country. I related to your story about the tripod....I did the same thing with solar panels and power banks....but I didn't have the option to go back. Awesome vid. Cheers!

Did this trip solo in June. Beautiful route but was disappointed with the amount of garbage left at sites. Four days is leisurely, definitely could do it in three. Colin Scott and Donald Lakes are something else. Hooked into some nice Lake Trout too

Very nice shots especially at the falls. Looks like a nice little trip route. Will have to do this one in the future. I did the matamagasi Silvester wolf area a couple years back and it was beautiful, nice exposed granite and great smallmouth fishing as well.

Liked your video however, some of you guy’s from southern Ontario including Camper Christina continue to call this area Temagami, you put in at the Sportsman lodge which is actually within the Sudbury city limits, Temagami is over 40 miles away to the east I know this because I live on Kukagami lake and pay my taxes to the city of Sudbury every year which is only 20 miles away, please don’t take my comment as being critical as I only mean this to be educational. The body of water between Donald and Kukagami is actually what we call the north end of Kukagami as it is attached to Kukagami by a small channel to the west. Thanks for the video I’ll check out some of the others.

Interesting. I had no idea about that. I have a copy of the FOT Adventure planning map and it includes the area that I paddled - so that is why us southern Ontario paddlers (mistakenly?) consider this area to be 'Temagami'. Without being apart of the Temagami or Sudbury tax base, it is difficult to know where one area stops and the other begins. Thank you for watching, clarifying, and commenting. Cheers!
