I live in Los Angeles. I have been researching several facilities in my area, and not one presented this info. This video sealed the deal as I will make the roughly seven-hour round trip to have my All on 4 procedure. I will be going with the staged approach. Thank you, doctor!

That is one of the clearest explanations I've seen. I'm a mechanical engineer, and the implants are engineered, and put in place using tools. So the reasoning you have supplied, as to what should be done and where, makes total sense to me. I'll be using the delayed approach for my rear upper molar. Thanks!

This has cemented my decision to do the delayed approach- thank you for your comprehensive information. Even though my tooth is a candidate for immediate placement, I think for the sake of 3 extra months to ensure perfect placement it’s worth the inconvenience. I wish you had explained more about that nerve and how you get around that issue for the molar implants- not that that affects me but I thought it was the bit I would have liked to have known. Very good video. Thank you.

Thank you dear Dr Dmitri ,you explained very well and calmly ,very easy to understand the differences. All the years of my practice I explain these aspects to them ,and gives them these two options, and 95% of the patients opts for staged approach .They don't mind a waiting period for the healing and formation of natural nascent bone and architecture, for a perfect placement .Also the staged approach helps me and patients to achieve a very harmonious and esthetic prosthetic and masticatory component .

OMG! There is so much more to think about, when considering an immediate implant after extraction! Initially, I automatically thought that, that was actually the best option.

On other KZbin sites I previously heard about mini implants that were supposed to cost considerably less and to have much shorter healing times. It wasn't disclosed on those videos that treatment failures occurred with much higher frequency. Sure enough the very first mini I had installed was declared a failure shortly after the surgery. I suspect that immediate placement after extraction might be the same story. It won't be worth it in view of what often happens.

is there a higher rate of infection or implant failure for the immediate technique? does the precision matter as much for the molar teeth in the back?

Very good information and advice, but horrible background music! Is it really necessary to have any background music?

Totally agree, an otherwise good presentation is ruined by an atrocious soundtrack that distracts from the message. Sometimes less is more. Delete the music and enhance the overall production.

I had 3 tooth root canal (left upper molar tooth #14, #13 and #12, years ago and just recently the crown number #13 came off and the broke. I am not planning on getting an implant knor bridges in the future for this broken tooth and crown. Can i just have this tiny leftover tooth extracted? Will it have a bad effect to the other tooth nexf to it? This broken crown is in between the other crown tooth. Thank you,

what about bone graft?
@MCC4RTHY12 жыл бұрын
How can one make sure that bone graphs are taking after an extraction? The only down side I see in this staged approach is not knowing if this graft is going to take and if an implant will be possible which is my ultimate goal.
