Human controlled or credited as tool assisted, ENTIRELY satisfying. C: A very good, entertaining video to find that has lifted this warrior spirit after so long having suffered this game's hardships many years ago. XD

I really appreciate how the TAS player played basically in-character as Sonic. For everything up through Metal 1, Sonic's calm, laid back, and perhaps a little bit cocky as he's playing around with the opponent while still having control of the situation... That's normal for Sonic (even if in the games this can and has blown up in his face). The instant he turns Super? That's where he stops screwing around and gets serious... and uh, Metal 2 died in 5 seconds to prove the point.

How does this game look so good? Like obviously all the models are low-poly, but if anything the game manages to make that look like an intentional choice rather than a limitation of the hardware. The shadows, lighting, reflections in that one stage, the effects, and the fact that this is locked at 60FPS honestly make it look better than SA1 in some regards. Was this enhanced in some way for the Gems Collection? I can’t imagine it looked this way on original hardware in ‘96
