The Line 11 platforms were redesigned in a Jules Verne-style by Belgian comics artist François Schuiten in 1994 to mark the bicentenary of the Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers! I love when stations have cool designs or mosaics on the platform that make them stand out! One of my favorite subway artworks is 81st Street-Museum of Natural History in NYC because of how much it embraces the museum with murals of fossils that were added in the 1970s and then in the 1990s, mosaics replicating the cosmos, an ocean, and Earth's strata! I also love the architecture of Tashkent Metro stations. They all have their own unique architectural features and artistic elements. Some look like ballrooms with huge chandeliers hanging from the ceiling while others look like a film set from a science fiction movie. Walking through it is like walking through Tashkent's history. Every station shows a part of Uzbek history, and they all tell a story from the Silk Road to the empires that once ruled over it. Those Guimard entrances of the Paris Métro are chef's kiss! Here's the story behind why they're that way: In the years leading up to the Exposition Universelle in 1900, Paris was busy building their Métro, but many Parisians were against building said Metro because they thought it would look industrial. In order to make the entrances look aesthetically pleasing, a contest was held with 21 participants but chose none of them and instead commissioned Hector Guimard to design entryways that were as elegant as possible. Guimard opted to craft his entrances out of cast-iron set in concrete and painted a shade of green evocative of oxidized brass. The use of cast iron allowed him to construct the curved forms characteristic of his style, and concrete enabled him to incorporate sculpted details throughout each design, whether rendered as a roofed édicule structure or an open entourage model. In the years following their installation, Guimard's entryways were met with mixed reviews, and many were removed. However of course, the ones that remained were later realized for the Parisian icons that they are!

Eurostar e320/Class 374s have a top speed of 320 km/h or 199 mph, it was the Class 373/Eurostar e300/TGV TMST that had a top speed of 186 mph or 300 km/h! However the Class 374 is still limited to 186mph while in operation! The RER or Réseau Express Régional is basically a hybrid commuter rail and rapid transit system, as in It acts as a combined city-center underground rail system and suburbs-to-city-center commuter rail. It's like how the SEPTA regional rail system in Philadelphia has the Center City Commuter Connection which was built to connect the stub ends of the two separate regional commuter rail systems, originally operated by the Pennsylvania Railroad and the Reading Company. The Commuter Connection is a four-track tunnel, which contains two underground stations, Suburban Station and Jefferson Station, and the above-ground upper-level concourse for the east-west commuter lines serving 30th Street Station. The RER has lines A, B, C, D, and E. The RER is operated partly by RATP, the authority that operates most of the public transport in Paris, and partly by SNCF, France's national rail operator. RER B is the line that serves Charles De Gaulle 1 and 2, so not only does it connect to TGV, Transilien, and Eurostar services at Gare du Nord, but it also connects to TGV services at Charles De Gaulle 2. The RER B also serves La Plaine Stade de France-Saint-Denis-Aubervilliers for the Stade de France stadium. The RER A is the line that has a branch that serves Disneyland Paris at Marne-la-Vallée-Chessy station where there are connections to TGV services as well.

Temple-Gare du Nord is shorter via a transfer at République with Line 5 (or as Temple and République are very close to each other, take Line 5 there). Of course, making a detour via Arts & Métiers for the beautiful Line 11 platforms there can be a nice thing. However if you want to get to Gare du Nord going Westbound on Line 3, the transfer is at Réaumur-Sébastopol on Line 4. Châtelet-Les Halles complex is about 800 meters long from the furthest exits on each side. The RER station alone is about 300 meters long.
