Most enjoyable to watch! Top marks for working signals and Whitaker arm.

Apart from the unavoidable reverse alignment going up to the SR station, this was delightful. Loved the tablet exchange apparatus!

Good layout - just a pity that you don’t have the space to curve the line off to the right to Templecombe upper for authenticty

Amazing ! This deserves more views. If everyone who watches this video leaves a comment, it'll help the KZbin algorithm share the video to more people !

Hi Tim, That was great many thanks for doing this. having tried doing some video's myself on Sturminster I can appreciate how many tries and the amount of editing required to pull this together. The signals were great and the falling arm on the Whittaker superb, was that from a kit or a scratchbuild ? Video is a cruel medium, for me the missing crew were a standout, is that on your to do list or now you have the bug for building layouts are you going to do another one ? Thanks Gavin..

Tim writes, "Hello Gavin, Thanks for your response to the video. You’re right! There is so much to set up that isn’t obvious until you look at the first takes. I want to do more when I get some time but it may be a while. Hoping to get better depth of field, colour balance and maybe more sound, as examples. And I’ll find a crew for the 0-4-4! Pleased with the signals that I’ve now coordinated with route setting. The three Whitakers were scratch built and probably unique. I have been very fortunate to have Richard and Steve in our Northern Area Group whose modelling skills are way ahead of mine! Extremely unlikely to do another layout. There is still much to do on TL (that the videos of course omit to show) and the years are passing! Thanks for your interest. Hope Sturminster is working well. Cheers. Tim."

@@sdrt , Hi Tim, Sturminster is still going well although I'm starting to think about a bit of a rebuild to redo a few sections of track that are not as reliable as they need to be and the station buildings are starting to look there age. I'll hopefully get some use out of it for the next year or so as I'm now living in Shaftesbury. I've started volunteering at Shillingstone and I think I'll do a model of that so I have something to show whilst Stur gets a rest. Best wishes gavin..

@@gavincollins5997 I'd absolutely love to see what you make of Shillingstone if and when it happens, especially as my parents live in CO. Although I'm not sure that all your efforts shouldn't be applied to the full size version with its exciting extension plans now that they've got the nod from the powers that be, if you had a choice.
