There have been some rendering issues with my audio after upload. I'm working to resolve it.

This cover is from the “ Hunchback of Notre Dame”. It is probably one of the darkest most sinister songs in the Disney Universe.

It’s hard to believe it’s Disney honestly. But the facts speak for themselves

Geoff goes high, they fill in the bass, and when Geoff goes low, they counter point high. Masterfully done.

You see and hear the beauty with VoicePlay. They have taken the skill to sing together to an other level. They are masters of giving backup to one another and help eachother to shine.

I think Geoff is getting more confident with his acting. I first noticed it in his Ain't No Sunshine. And in his latest solo release, Jack's Lament, it shows again. I have to say though that it isn't always Geoff's choice to go to extremes. Layne did this arrangement and he brooks no opposition from the guys. :) He just says "do it". And they do.
@queenofpixels5458 Жыл бұрын
I think you are right Layne definately seems to be the risk taker. Every team needs one. Someone to push you to where you don't think you can go.
@candilunsford2878 Жыл бұрын
I remember from an interview they did that they have one nonnegotiable rule. Whoever does the work of arranging has total control. Others can make a suggestion ONCE, but if the answer is no that’s the end of it.

As for J None, we are all hoping he does eventually rejoin VoicePlay. I think he’s roughly halfway through his tour of duty with the Navy. A little more than half. I believe he has about 2 years left? Every single one of them sounded especially spectacular this time! While Geoff sounded very rich and rounded, I keep thinking no one should sound as glorious singing the words “Destroy Esmeralda” as Eli does here. And while Cesar’s guitar notes were so very realistic, Layne’s vocal percussion was so varied it was hard to keep track how many times the tempo changed.
@janeramirez8767 Жыл бұрын
I'm ashamed to say that I watched Cesar play air guitar THREE TIMES before I heard the beautiful descant that he was "playing"! Please be generous and put it down to that sense of being overwhelmed that the reactor mentioned. Now I watch and listen for Cesar's guitar solo every time. It's gorgeous. And I agree with you, @hwyla, that Eli has no right to sound so pure and so evil at the same time!
@marshayoung9387 Жыл бұрын
@@janeramirez8767I'm not sure Cesar made the guitar sounds. I think he was just playing air guitar.

J is not planning on a return at this point. He’s considering the Navy a career, not a few years’ hitch.
@janeramirez8767 Жыл бұрын
@@marshayoung9387 Then who or what is producing that delicate high melody while he plays? Those notes are hard to hear, but they're there.

Eli has done voice acting. (He voiced the guard that came in briefly here and has done extra characters in a couple other Voiceplay videos.). I know of a children’s cartoon series where he (and Rachel Potter) voiced the main characters. But the only voice acting for Geoff I know of was an Alamo commercial that Geoff and Layne arranged. You can hear their voices even though you see other actors.

4:45 perfect and different backing to Geoff. I am not a big fan of VP, but I did like this one. Felt the emotional commitment, on top of their usual technical prowess.

Thank you for a great reaction to Voice Play. I do believe that this is the first time Geoff has taken the lead in a VP song. I love how he has lately been showing us his full range. I hope he takes the lead more often. He's turning into a rock God. He's always been a great actor. He does do a lot of readings like Edgar Allan Poe. They are on his channel.

this song in the original film is why frollo was the perfect villain, so blinded by his own ideals that he believes god made the devil just so he could lust after a 16 year old gypsy girl
