TEMPLES IN BANGKOK - WAT ARUN & WAT PHO

Come with us as we explore some of the best temples in Bangkok! Thailand is famous for its beautiful temples and Bangkok has its fair share of them, as we find out when we take a wander around Wat Arun the Temple of Dawn, and Wat Pho with the Gold Reclining Buddha.
We also made a fun trip across Chao Phraya river via boat, definitely the best and cheapest way to get across. We had such a fun day and really recommend spending a day exploring these temples in Bangkok!

Thank you for visit Thailand and this temple. Wat Arun or Temple of the dawn. This temple is very important because it is the first class royal monastery and this temple is the extraordinary temple consecrated to the King Rama the 2nd where the cinerary remains are enshrined. This temple is the location of the Great Prang tower of 67 metres hight, making it the highest prang tower in the country and also is the landmark of Bangkok. Welcome to Thailand the land of smile :)

The black statue you have mentioned in the clip at 1:10 is not a guardian statue. Wat Arun is one of the highest rank of the royal temples of the kings of Rattanakosin reign. The temple and the statue were build to show honour and respect to King Lerdlahnapalai or King Rama II of the reign.

We didn't make it to Wat Arun but it is good to see they have removed the scaffolding. Loved travelling by ferry
