If you don't have the cv option on your gear, you can also use a midi-to-cv converter.

Yes, that’s one of several possible solutions. The nice thing about the A4 for me is that it solves this problem as well as a bunch of others.

Hi Tony. I love the thought of adding the DFAM to my Elektron Digitakt, Digitone and A4 Mkii set up but I prefer to work through Ableton than live performance. I could run everything through my Focusrite Scarlett interface but you lose the option to record the individual tracks through Overbridge? Is there anyway to route the audio from DFAM through one of the Elektron devices and record at the same time or would it need to be recorded through the interface separately (through the Scarlett or the Digitone)? Just got the MKIi today and it is brilliant!

Unfortunately on my Macbook Pro none of my Elektrons show up in the Overbridge plugin, nor as an audio interdaces in Live's settings.. they do show up in Live's MIDI settings so at least I can sync them! Looking at some screen shots though I think the external inputs are available as separate tracks in Overbridge.

Yes you can. On the latest overbridge the external input appears as another track so you can get the dfam directly into ableton from the A4. I do exactly this. Also I clock the DFAM by setting the CV A to send a clock pulse, not by the method this video describes - which seems like a hard way to do it

Is it possible to reset the sequencer via Ableton or beatstep pro ? That it always Start on the First step ?

Do you know how to tempo sync the DFAM to the Digitone? The lack of MIDI is the only thing stopping me from buying it. Edit: I'm looking tor live use, no DAW

You will need some way of converting MIDI out from Digitone to a Eurorack style gate signal. There are boxes that can do this. I've been using a CV/gate output from the Analog Four.
