I have multiple sclerosis since 2003 past 7 weeks ringing in both ears and throbbing headaches also told my neurologist multiple times told doctors also. Nothing was done about it. Unbelievable I was just diagnosed with inappropriate sinus tachycardia multiple sclerosis related cardiologist said. But my neurologist said its not multiple sclerosis related unbelieveable.

What is the best protocol in MR that covers all or almost all the causes of tinitus ? thanks
@ENT_Imaging
@ENT_Imaging 4 жыл бұрын
First I should say that the correct modality depends on the type of tinnitus -- CT for pulsatile and MR for continuous tinnitus. The protocol that we use for MR is the same one that we use for sensorineural hearing loss, because we are looking for the same sorts of pathology (CPA masses, neuritis). This article provides more details: The Radiologic Evaluation of Tinnitus. Eur Radiol. 2006 Dec;16(12):2792-802. (It's a bit dated, but most of the information is still relevant.)

The people who know this material in greatest depth are radiologists. But the person you would make an appointment with is an otolaryngologist, who can order the proper test and consult with the radiologist about the results.

The ent diagnoses me with pulsatile even though I said the rhythm doesn't match my heart rate.....

That’s ironic, I have pulsatile tinnitus & my ENT refused to say it. He insisted I have tinnitus.
