Im afraid the Allpowers S300 has a big design flaw. It will self discharge all of it's capacity over a 2/3 week period if it is not charged within that time. Ill leave it with you Steve to come up with a modification to incorporate a master switch to completely shut down the unit, so no discharge takes place. Quiescent current is stated as being

very true, i just asked this question, it must seam they all drain over time.

@@karronlaneNOLA depends on how often you plan to NOT use it. Mrs. TO has found that she prefers these little power stations for charging her smart watch, laptop and cell phone and it is always in use.

9:05 That was going to be my big question, so I'm glad you addressed it: how noisy is the AC output inverter. It doesn't look awful!

Not bad for $130. Looks like it would be a good 705 companion. How do you think it would fair with something like a 7300/710 using the AC side? I'm guessing the DC side couldn't handle it
@temporarilyoffline7 ай бұрын
You're right, the DC side can't handle it. I think the AC side might. But not for very long.

Perhaps the MPTT controller would limit input to 80 watts if more were available?

I hope so! I can't get a good answer on it.

Steve, you might add a note "Tumblers are sold out and backorders are not being accepted." Or something.

nice power station. well if your transporting baby chicken's you can use that power station to keep heat light on for them. most of them bad on RFI from inverter. check HF bands. they down today. and high noise floor. X class solar flair today. NOAA posting lots of alerts lately. if solar storm takes out grid you have a power source. seeing northern lights in NY . all 50 states seeing them. even Hawaii . 73's

I have that 600 sitting under my radio desk. I was getting evenly separated noise and didn't immediately know what it was. After running through all breakers off, and all those standard 'find the noise' tests I realized it was the 600 when it was fully charged and running 'trickle' or maintenance charge. I unplugged it and the noise stopped. Did you never get this issue with the 600?

That's a good comparison! I turn the inverter off and on in the video to show it. I'm in a pretty noisy environment in this location.

Its the "go-to" power connector for all things in ham shacks. Most hams use it and they make nice power distribution blocks... it helps when you take your gear out and want to inter-operate with other hams as well. All questions are welcome!
