I especially wanted to share it with you since I see a lot of comments from people saying they'd like to try dreads, but either can't because of work or school, or because they don't know if they'd actually like it. I find this tutorial super helpful because right now I can't wear dread because I need to find a job and my country isn't open about alternative (hair)styles. But I really want to try wearing some and my hair is currently kind of awkward because I had a pixie and I'm trying to grow it out, and if the side and the back are still short, the front is currently down to my nose and I think that I could braid dreads in in a short time (like a couple month)

Hi, If you don't have time to install them like you did the ones in the front, you can do the bun right on the top of your head and to cover the gap from my fringes/bangs and my falls I use a cloth hair band or bandana (if I'm doing fake fringes I slide them under the bandana). My falls are always in two bundles, so I tie one bundle on the bun so they are hanging down my back and one bundle so they are hanging in my face, then I gently flip them back. I then hair pin the hel out of them to stay in place (with the u shaped hair pins not bobby pins). I usually like to slide a couple under the hairband or bandana, I think it looks better that way and they kind of stay in place. When I had really short hair I literally safety pinned the bundles to a bandana and just tied it on. I guess you could safety pin them individually but that would be a pain and probably defeat the "quick" part of dread falls.

If you do it again with a different set maybe you could wrap saran wrap around the single dread while you thread the others on to it so there’s no friction...idk if that would work or if you’ll get what i mean but it’s just an idea lol

aw i blush so much too, yours is cute though and it mainly stays on your cheeks while i just become a beetroot head lmao. also i'm so gonna try this! never had dreads before but honestly your videos have made me want some so bad. however i'm not a very high maintenance person in terms of my hair these days and can't imagine doing it as often as you do yours, kudos to you, but this is a great alternative. my issue is that most rooted dreads have black roots and i have like medium brown hair D; i really want some neon/acid green ones for some reason its just been my online shopping fixation for ages lol
