I understood that these people didn't even want to fight at all, they just wanted not to be bullied for being perceived as "weak" and I knew that I could make change if I fought them psychologically. I earned their respect, no one got hurt but here's the real kicker - when they saw me fight they saw a real warrior but it wasn't against one of them - it was against a massive, hulking, muscular fascist who deliberately came to the neighborhood to earn their red laces. If you know what I'm talking about then you'd know why I didn't ever fight someone who I saw as hurting on the inside but only fought the kind of guys that I can one cursory glance at and see nothing but emptiness masked by facade of rage.
