hey if you see my comment, I would like to be honest, that restaurant really scamming you. please go to the local Patin Tempoyak Restaurant located at Temerloh, Pahang. They sell at very reasonable price with around RM50.00 if you take menu like that. Dont think Malaysia were good at all. Everywhere you both go, you should be aware. Dont trust commercial online ads because of just they say they said they are the best place among all. always ask local people coz they born here.

Coz these people know no matter how rude they are people will still patronise their restaurant coz their foods are nice. For me customer service is a deal breaker, if you treat customers and staffs so bad, I won't come again no matter how nice the foods are.

She gave you the wild "patin" and not the farmed "patin" that's why it's way more pricier. Wild ones are much tastier than the farmed ones which usually taste like dirt. The best "patin" are those in the "Pahang" river, "Temerloh" to be exact. You didn't get scammed as some of the comments below stated the wild "patin" is extremely expensive in KL especially in that part of the area.

Yes wild patin in KL is indeed pricey but that doesn't justify for the contradicting final bill compared to the first one. I think for this kind of restaurant they should be able to make some kind of display of the dish price rate like money changer one since it's their specialty, because we know that wild patin price is not fixed all year round.

Try the original - decades famous Tempoyak Ikan Patin (Cat fish) at Temerloh, Pahang. Nearby Temerloh market area. 1 bowl arnd rm8 - rm12 last time I tried. For me, East Coast Highway (Temerloh R & R) Station is good enough, without need to go to Temerloh town. Enjoy! aiyoh.. make me hungry...

I've been to ana ikan bakar twice already. And for a local, yes its too expensive. You can get a whole patin fish for around Rm20-30 if you knew the right place. And that lady right there scold her worker right infront of customer is not a nice attitude to be shown ( 6:13 ). Well, everyone have their first time ripped off by local when going on vacations.
