I truly LOVE this game show. It's a sexy blend of suspense, high stakes, and strategy. Art James feels right at home with this game-one of his smoothest hosting jobs. It's as if James Bond birthed "Would You Rather." I appreciate this crispy, clear copy. Thank you, Moviecraft!

What an obscurity. Seems like ABC had a bunch of these short run-long forgotten game shows in the 60s.

$6500 in total prizes for this early 1968 episode (a 13-week run, no less) would equal about $60,000 in Nov. 2024 dollars. The credits include Marty Pasetta, who went on to direct many variety shows, specials and concerts, including the controversial "Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour" on CBS, as well as the pilots for 1970's game shows "Celebrity Sweepstakes" and, more interestingly, "Wheel of Fortune"; Art Alisi, who was a longtime Heatter-Quigley production staffer known for lining up the prizes; and Ernie Buttelman, one of the many technical-staff stalwarts at ABC Prospect Studios in Hollywood. As for Filmation, credited with the animated snake-and-apple title sequence, weren't they the same outfit that also did many fine cartoon shows during the late '60s and early '70s, headed up by Lou Scheimer and Norm Prescott?

20:50 - I didn't know Filmation did the animation for the Heatter-Quigley Temptation 1967-1968 game show title! In 1968 Heatter-Quigley paired with Hanna-Barbera for the Wacky Races cartoon.

As seen weekdays [in color] at 11am(et). Marlene Sanders and "ABC NEWS {WITH A WOMAN'S TOUCH}" followed at 11:25am.....but it's not featured in this kinescope.

Wow. This is awful. I watched through the end to see the credits. The game is awful, as are the prizes. Its misogynistic. I vaguely remember the host who is attempting to channel his best Hugh Hefner. He doesn’t move. I don’t think he's actually smoking the cigar. No Jonny O,not in color which suggests its not video tape. A vague interesting relic of 1968.

You are right on target with Art James being underrated. Here in New York City he was the host of Say When, It’s academic, and The magnificent marvel machine a show I actually attended in person in Hollywood.. The Who What or Where Game was excellent , though only 25 minutes long due to a five minute newscast at the end. Art had an understated, self deprecating manner and a very good sense of humor. He’s right up there with Bill Cohen .Art had an understated, self deprecating manner and a very good sense of humor. He’s right up there with Bill Cullin And art Fleming as my New York City favorites
