I have a different perspective here. Even though he behaved so badly with Mahima, he is definitely aggressive and we won’t forgive him as he behaved like a psycho. But this show brainwashed Chetna i feel, Nishank was not controlling or toxic as shown. It was his care i can see it. Chetna will realise this soon in real world. Every relationship has some issues, but chetna and Nishank didn’t have as much issues as portrayed here. Nishank was not looking like a psychopath in final episode, rather I feel he was shocked to know the girl he trusted flipped in a month. He couldn’t understand what just happened. I felt so bad for Nishank because he was also not allowed to show his emotions at the end and was labelled as controlling. It was a narrative set just coz of one incident with Mahima where he disrespected her, which was obviously unexpected and showed his aggressive side. But I nowhere felt he was controlling or not in love as shown in the finale. He clearly couldn’t believe how Chetna didn’t reciprocate after meeting him after weeks, how he wasn’t allowed to hug her, he was in shock ,i couldn’t watch it seriously. And when he tried to hug her, she felt suffocating and pulled away, which was hard to see as an audience ,clearly Nishank couldn’t believe his eyes.Chetna is clearly tempted by Akshay. And Akshay was real and in love i agree. But in real world Nishank i think is far better and loyal and caring to Chetna.

This seems a bit unhealthy though. Chetana is no saint but she has a point. More than asking how Chetana was or reassuring her that he loves her, Nishank was telling her what she shouldn't do during the glass task. Nishank is very toxic in the last episode. I don't know about other episodes as I haven't watched it. But at the last nishank is very much freaked out. Maybe he loves her. But being a girl I can completely understand what chetna is trying to say. Nishank is so much obsessed with chetna that he is so fearful the whole time and he completely forgot about his individuality. And if he truly love her he should respect her decision rather than sobbing. He should have that trust in her. As I girl I also want to have an individual upgrading rather than always being in babu sona. And that chetna also wants. She wants nishank to think about himself. To be more mature, more understanding. But he is not ready to understand her.
