I was raised in a poor household where we regularly got frozen patties for dinner, and they were almost always raw once put on a bun. So now I have a visceral reaction to seeing rare meat and cannot eat it. I have to eat my steak and burgers well done.

80/20 Ground Beef + Egg (yolk, whites or both idgaf) + Italian Breadcrumbs + Worcestershire Sauce + Old Bay Seasoning Cook it however you want (even med-rare), add a Kraft single and put on whatever buns you want, or lettuce wrap if you prefer less carbs. You can add whatever you want to it but I don't think it needs much else besides some dill sauerkraut.

okay I don't have the context but why weren't they cooked properly? It sounds like they were cooked on too high a heat so only the outside got cooked but inside was frozen.

@@floofzykitty5072 Probably the case. They were frozen, thrown into the pan, and then cooked until they were charred on the outside but raw in the middle.

I am on team Altare and Dez. Especially in non fancy restaurants where the meat isn't best quality. I have a sensitive stomach and usually avoid raw food though medium well is fine.

As a youngling, I liked my meat well done, growing up I transitioned to medium, and now an adult, I like more on the rare side. Axel and Vesper give off the older gents vibe, so I can see them eating rare, while Mag and Alt seem much younger, so it fits they like it more cooked, at least in my experience.

Medium is a great middle ground, its cooked enough not to taste bloody but not overcooked that it's dry chewy leather. Grew up eating well done steaks until I finally got the taste for medium-doneness. But i'd still perfer something overcooked than raw.. I just can't stand the bloody taste :/

I prefer mine Medium-Rare for most cuts. Some cuts would be chewy when at Rare or Blue Rare, so Medium-Rare all around cooks it just enough to make it tender to the bite. Only for A5 Wagyu would I do Medium-Well, it is way too rich otherwise and makes me feel real bloated after a few bites. Well Done is just burnt leather... Why spend money on expensive cuts when a cheap cut at well done would taste the same.

Well Done: you should just order a shoe to eat Medium Well: is fine Medium: is preferred if your new to meat Medium Rare: is the best because here is a shock to most THE PINK COLOR AND LIQUID LEAVING THE MEAT IS NOT BLOOD (not always/not fully) Rare: is only fine with specific meat otherwise it needs to be cooked to an extent like the meat Axel mentioned where it was just cooked on the outside

I'm with Magni on this subject, I usually do medium because secretly I want it rare and not full on raw. It's like a Jedi mind trick. I used to ask for rare steak as a kid, but then I learned that I can't really count on some restaurants to get it right sometimes.

I prefer medium-rare or rare depending on the cuts. Overcooking the meat (medium well and well done) basically ruin high quality meat. It’s fine if you prefer steaks well done, but i’m going to call you out on your stupidity if you try to order high quality cuts well done. It you are someone who enjoys a nice, well done steak, just get the cheapest one on the menu. Getting an expensive one is just a waste of money.
