Having driven across the US when I first started driving there is some weird stuff that happens in the nooks and crannies of this country. I was driving through New Mexico going west a little after midnight. I pulled off the highway to relieve myself on some random side road and was 100% certain I was alone out there. But as I zipped up and got back in the car there was a sound coming from outside my car. A dude on a horse at midnight just rode up and nodded at me so I turned on my headlights to see him better. He was just a regular looking dude with a cowboy hat on, on his horse in the middle of the road at midnight with literally nothing around us for miles. I would have had to drive past him to flip a u-turn, but as I pulled forward he got off to one side of the road and let me pass. When I flipped around I half expected to look in my rear view and see nothing, but there he was on his horse in the middle of the road, bathed in the red of my taillights as I drove away wide awake and paranoid.

I feel like Vesper and I had THE same thing happen, except for me, it was when I was a little and it was a lot different. My sister's high school is across these rows of shops, and one of them was empty. We sat there and this shop had windows in it and you can see the whole room because it's basically cleaned out. I was minding my own business until I turned around and saw a business lady. Dressed up to her 90s/80s. She had a hat, and those dresses that looked like what female air pilots would wear (they're probably some type of clothes but I don't know women's clothings.) She waved at me and looked like she was heading into the back room (a door to the left that is opened and probably the break room?). My mom asked me "What're you looking at/who are you waving at?" In return I told my mom, looked back and.. she was gone. I was surprised because there's literally nowhere for this woman to hide, especially how nice she seemed when she waved at me. So that, I'm still scared of. Not to mention, the high school my sister went to is a bit haunted.
@raisha992 жыл бұрын
ok the last sentence reminds me of my elementary school and I'm gonna have a nightmare about it now. idk if my school was haunted but it had an old building (probably a lot better now), and I used that building 5 out of 6 years. as a kid I was not really scared by it, but when I remember it after I grew up, it's kinda creepy. like the tiles looked old and all grey, uneven stairs, lower ceiling than the new building, overall gloomy vibe. it's an L shaped 2 floors building where they unnecessaryily have 2 flights of stairs in the corner, everyone mostly used the straight shape one and the other was a u shape, it had metal gates in front of it that's mostly closed and inside were a bunch of broken chairs. sometimes I and other kids used it too and I was not scared of it. but now that flight of stairs will always be part of my nightmare when it appears, bcs I'm pretty sure it looks creepy af at night. I'm having chills writing this at 11pm.

Ehh the chocolate bar is so processed as long as it’s in a cool dry place it might upset your stomach. The chips on the other hand, that oil could go rancid 5 years after the expiration date. But also most candy and snacks at those small corner shops is out of date.

I suspect it would at worst be stale and have lost some nutritional value, but packaged highly processed foods aren't gonna have mold or bugs spontaneously appear inside the bag.
@MadCapybaraRX2 жыл бұрын
Accordingly to my MRE video watching experience, your body can handle expired food as long as it tastes, smells and looks edible. Trust your instincts! The main issues are contamination (e.g. mold, bacteria, insects and other germs) and one or more ingredients breaking down due to age (e.g. fat oxidation making food go rancid). Food with low water and fat content tends to last a lot even after its expiration date if stored with the right conditions. High sugar or salt content also makes the food an inhospitable place for bacteria and mold growth. The food packaging also plays an important role in food conservation. It might deteriorate before its content goes bad allowing its contamination.
