I literally have like every Temu saltwater item lol I love it I have hooked 30”-34” stripe bass with $1.98 lures it’s insane to me. I have a 60lb braided and used it all summer with no issues. Some hooks are not the best but for the price they do the job. Also have the multi color reel 4000 and it’s amazing. Took off my shimano and put it away for a bit. For the price I have had the reel going for 2 years so far. This year oiled it a little and feels like new. Temu is the real goat.

Love the videos lojo! You kill me with the in line spinners though… just straight retrieve! A change in speed can be helpful, but every time you pop it it’s spinner looses its momentum and it doesn’t function properly. Just straight retrieve and you’ll feel the slight resistance from the blade and as long as you feel that resistance you’ll know the bait’s functioning properly 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

I've been using one of the more expensive sougiyalang rods and I almost only use their reels and baitcasters for over a year and I have no complaints. They make some of the best budget stuff out there... even if their designs are suspiciously close to more well know brands

For the braid/line thing I think personally it just depends on the water Clarity, for clear water but sometimes mucky I would throw mono but otherwise braid.

I think line color matters if you are native trout fishing. Even when you are fly fishing you have a lead of some crystal clear. They are clever fish. But other species line color doesn’t seem to be an issue

My 9yo autistic son and I were catching stocked rainbow trout in a local pond in southern NJ using corn and a splitshot. He was getting bored, so he pulled an Blue Fox Vibrax inline spinning from my tackle box and asked me to tie it on. My wife says "Oh Honey, I don't think that will catch anything." I just tied it on and handed him his rod. On his 2nd cast, he landed a rainbow. I looked at my wife and said "1st of all, I have used that very same lure to catch wild trout and smallmouths up in the Poconos. 2nd, you never know what will work, so don't discourage him." I've caught wild and stocked trout, largemouth and smallmouth bass, all kinds of panfish, and pickerel on inline spinners. On another point, I am pretty picky when it comes to my line, and I don't think I would ever use cheapie Temu/Wish/AliExpress line. I like Trilene XL mono on my light tackle, and my heavier gear (mostly saltwater) I use either Trilene Big Game or Power Pro braid in the 20-30lb range.

Got some Temu rods reels myself recently, they aren’t bad. I had an order go missing and I contacted Temu and they resent the order. My senkos I ordered looked great. They came from a Korean tackle companies I had never heard of.

Anybody else just have crazy days and just wanna tell people that might appreciate it? Today may have been my weirdest day fishing in my entire life.. I'm 36 years old.. started fishing at 6, and I've never had a day like today... First, I had to grind for 7 hours to catch 5 trout in one of my favorite lakes.. the last time I fished there I got my limit in under an hour.. same spot.. had to change up my combos.. nothing was working.. i was probably 3 hours in without so much as a nibble.. During that time, I got bored and was practicing with my baitcaster.. it's been a minute because I amputated the tip of my finger, winter cold made my finger hurt too bad to fish, and all my fishing stuff was stolen right before spring bass season and I finally replaced minimal stuff just in time for my transmission to go out in my truck.. oh yeah.. my favorite spot get shut down thanks to tweakers doing tweaker things... anyway, I haven't been able to fish in months, so I'm out practicing with it while I've got my trout set up just kinda chillin.. suddenly I caught a fish on the trout set up so I had to drop my baitcaster and land the fish.. next cast with the caster caught my biggest trout of the day on a fairly large segmented swim bait.. not crazy, but more than 4 inches.. considering the trout was about 13.5, it's a big damn swim bait.. But the craziest part of the day was when I had 4 fish, waiting for that last one to bite, and 3 otter followed my lure in.. they start playing on the log right in front of me.. another otter comes out of nowhere and joins his friends.. suddenly a giant eagle comes out of nowhere and scoops a fish that I'm pretty sure was distracted by my bait I had set out.. now Im distracted, and I throw the same segmented swim bait right over the 4 otter that are swimming away.. over shot them by maybe 5 feet.. and one of them grabs my bait and I drag him half way to the bank before he finally lets go.. I've had some weird days.. but today was just weird as fuck...

I have actually used that brand before. The rods including a telescoping rod were pretty good. The reels were a crapshoot. Had one that gears stripped after a few hours of use.

Just a note to sougayilang rods though, Be careful of the plastic parts as they tend to be made from brittle and cheaper plastics. I have bought several of rods and some do just crack or snap overtime from just the reel fitting itself from the pressure. Then for their reels saltwater or even freshwater is its worse enemy. It will rust faster than most reels even if its oiled/vaselined/greased.

I got hung in long tall grass across the creek. Lure up and down from the water. Bass came out of the water and grabbed it freeung the hang up. Crazy story? Took me almost 2 hours of intentionaly casting to that grass and working it plopping in the water. Bang!! #2. Most wont believe this,but it happened.

I have used Sougayling open faced reels for 7+ years. They've worked so well it's all I purchase. I have like 8. And except for a couple I've lost handles for, I still use all of them!

Love the line color let's you know how much line is out. I wonder if the braid could be old. I work with horses I've tried braided tack it's made alot like braided line it gets really weak with time up in the braid it will just snap on the least amount of pressure After it gets so old specially not been used. Brand new it's really strong long as it's use not long after being made.

i use a leader when i use braid because when i fish one certain pond the fish wont touch my lure if im using just braid but then i tie on a leader and catch a ton

I use spinners a lot for perch and pike, and a thing I realized is that you make all sorts of motions, which is not the best way to use an inline spinner. A good spinner like a Mepps Agila, just needs a consistent, but slow retrieve. No stops, twitches or anything of the sort, just a slow and steady retrieve. The blades are not designed to work well with twitches, so that might be why you're not a fan?

I always try to avoid tying braid directly to a lure. If I have to, I always add a few extra twists or loops when tying. Braid has a higher tendency to slip using the same knot I use to tie with mono or flouro.

^ this man fishes, I let bait float down the Missouri and Mississippi rivers and on occasion might have bait 100yds out or more when I get a bite. Trying to set the hook with even a shorter mono or flouro leader at those distances is just too hard from all the stretch over distance. A Palomar knot will ensure no slippage when going straight braid to hook, and you can cut your excess line from the knot very close to flush for picky fish presentation. Although when I'm lazy I just tie my usual improved clinch knots, leave a .5" end of the knot and super glue it to hold. Big flatheads and blues don't care lol.

Weird I've just recently started using brais and I was impressed with how little my knots slipped compared to mono. Actually I've been impressed how strong the stuff is in general but yeah my knots seemed to be much stronger oddly enough

@@bradleeweber9753 it does depend on the qualities of the braid, too. I've used cheaper braids that werent very waxy and didn't cast the best, but the braid bit into itself preventing slipping very well. A lot of premium braid like power pro, etc. Actually has wax like lubricant to protect the braid from fraying as well as slicken the line to improve casting, but has the added effect of making knots slip easier.

Leader weight matters a lot in salt water fishing I’m sure line colors are a thing as well
