Lay that sweater flat on a towel to dry it unless it is acrylic if it is you can dry in the dryer for 10 minutes or so and it then dry it flat don’t hang it to dry unless you want what one of my kids used to call hanger shoulders where the shape of the hanger distorts it at the shoulder. If you dry it too long it will shrink up but putting it in for a few minutes will keep the static cling down. I have knit for 60 years and can give you more tips if you want - just ask
