the algorithm put this video on top of my feed. don't know why, but glad it happened. thanks for the even review. i use "even," because too many chibson reviews are either on the far sides of pro and con. and i'm glad you didn't get preachy about "rip offs." i worked my tail off when i was in high school to buy my les paul, but at todays prices, i don't begrudge anyone who buys a knock-off. keep it up man, and thanks again.

Got the TEMU angus young signature SG last month I had no issues removing that sticker what residue that remained was easily removed with soap and water Plays good sounds great not bad for 240 bucks Enjoy

It looks to me like it is a Chibson that's re branded. The Les Paul truss rod cover and the fact it has the open book headstock is a dead give away.

It's a Chibson. The "Vicer" is literally a sticker. At 6:54 when he does a close up on the right, you can see the Gibson under the Vicer sticker. He also takes the sticker off on the previous video where he compares this to the real thing. For me, this "Vicer' though is the same as all the other $200-$300 Chibsons out there which are flooded on Team Moo, Ally Express, and Flea Bay. I wish they just did their own branding on it. This is why I like the ones that do their own branding.

Interesting look. The abalone binding is reminiscent of Schecter guitars like the Hell Raiser series from the 2000s and 2010s. I actually like the concept of Off Brand guitars because they blend aesthetics that you don't see on the originals. I like the chrome look on a Les Paul Custom format. This guitar would be good to mod so long as the neck angle on the body is good. For pots I would suggest Bournes mini pots because they will have the feel of full sized CTS pots and behave like them but work in that tight cavity. GFS pickups would be good upgrades here. A Guyker Trem system and roller bridge would be nice. Doing a bone nut would get the most out of this set up as well as locking tuners. I would only do this if you could do the work yourself since the parts themselves would be almost as much as this guitar. It's a cool concept. Looks good standing in the audience about 10 feet from the stage. I would guess there would be hidden issues in wanting to set this up trying to rival an Epiphone. No ethical issues here, only a dumbass would try and pass this off as a Gibson.

I just got the Vicers Les Paul and noticed the Vicers label is a sticker. I hate to try taking it off it it messes up the head stock.

He did mention that the headstock looks like a Gibson, and that Slash played a replica that had a Gibson logo. Personally I'd rather see the maker use their own logo. Having said that, owning a replica isn't bad or illegal, but misrepresenting it would be.

Do the frets feel like med jumbo? If you still have it can you measure the neck width at the 12th fret? Did you send it back, put in the incinerator, or upgrade electronics instead? 😄 Excellent review, thanks.

4:44 Interesting comment that poorly cut nuts, when too tall can lead to intonation issues. I seem to have this problem with one of me newer guitars. I was thinking that the stainless frets might be too slippery causing me to push some strings out of alignment when 'chording'. Jury is still out on what the exact issue is, but at least I have a heads up via the 'said' comment.

Those pickups are ceramic but clerics amd big resistance works gibson made.many ceramic pickup some people love. There more.to a pickup than resistance and magnets. It sounds good..

I bought two guitars the past month from Temu. The Vicers Les Paul only in the flame maple as in the video ($240) and several weeks ago an white Ibanez Jem ($270, a very good copy). They have all kind of Gibson styles including gold-top with P-90s, Ibanez, Jackson Flying V's, some Strats, etc. between $200 to about $350 (free shipping out of their US warehouse). Just type in Temu and search electric guitars. They also sell parts. I got a Strat scratch guard with H-S-H pickups and electronics mounted for $16.

Sad feature of this guitar for me is the lack of White Binding, I'll pass on the pearl binding and of course don't what a bone/cream binding either, not with this finish.

I really wish these knock-offs would use their own branding. This is why I like Firefly guitars for example. Are they Chibsons? Yes and no. They are basically made to be a Gibson, but they have Firefly branding instead. So they are really Firefly guitars to me. I don't even look at Chibons like this Vicer otherwise. I would have been happy to entertain purchasing one if they had put their actual branding on the headstock instead.

I got a black Vicers LP custom, and it was shite. I promptly sent it back. Edit: Take the Vicers sticker off lol. It indeed does say Gibson under it.

I own several Gibson Guitars including two Custom Shop models. I also own a Chibson that has had everything replaced accept for the body and frets. I don’t care about Chibsons, I’m not offended by them. I know other players that have real Gibsons and play their Chibsons out so they aren’t taking their expensive Gibsons out. I have a Gibson Heavy Relic that is $10,700 now, I’m not taking that to a bar to play a gig. I treat that guitar like one of my children. I’ll take my Chibson though without a second thought.

Sound is not too great. To make it a good sounding and playing guitar, you need to change all the electronics. It would be easier and cheaper to buy an Epiphone Les Paul.

As much as I hate to admit it, Chinese manufacturing has come a long way in the last 30 years. There was a time when Made in Japan meant junk. I doubt Chinese made will ever come that far. It actually defies logic, the price they're able to manufacture and ship to the US. It's not just guitars.
