Our gingerbread houses never stick together either.😊I love the food to match our movie night. We usually just have popcorn & sweets but this seems more fun. If you are doing the movie & food night- home & bargain have a set of paper grinch plates, cups, and other grinch party things. It’s in a box ,I think it’s £3.99 but seems value for money. You could put half the box away for next year.😉 On you tube there is some more ‘adult’ Christmas decorations you and your son could make together❄️. I’ve had a go! Ear cotton buds make lovely snow flakes! You stick the buds together in a snow flake design and put glitter on the cotton ends.They look beautiful. Your son could give them away as presents. The vlog uses a glue gun but I’m sure you could use sticky tape or if your very patient white glue. Xx

I have seen the Grinch stuff in Home Bargains but haven't see them, I will check our local one this week if not they may have them in the next town over. Thank you for the tip. I will check out those decorations with my son they would be great Grandparent gifts, at the moment I have one weekend with no plans before Christmas I think this may be a Christmas craft weekend. x

We use a hot glue gun to hold the gingerbread houses together. The icing it comes with never holds. And in the u.s. were i live we always go through the Christmas light displays at least once. Sometimes more. 😊

Ooo thats a better idea than the icing and you are right it never holds. I would love to see the lights in America I always watch them on KZbin. It's definitely on the bucket list x

I love the themed food idea! We watch those Christmas movies too, but with The Grinch added into it. It's not Christmas if we haven't watched those films. We tried the gingerbread house once too...same as you, it all fell apart, we ate it and never did it again haha. I always want to do ice skating but I know it would end in disaster for me! This is a great video, lovely list of traditions.

Haha Yes if I went ice skating it would be a big mess, if I ever go it will be for the hot chocolate and to watch from the side. We will also continue to just eat the Gingerbread rather than make a house out of it haha. I am going to try the Grinch film with my son this year to see if he likes it I really hope he does x

The show is northern lights, but the Christmas one is Christmas lights.

We did a gingerbread house from ikea one year - i swore a lot and got very frustrated...got there un the end, but I wouldn't say it was fun for any of us invloved 🙈
