Hey everyone! I hope you are all well and doing okay staying home. I've been staying in, surrounded by my wife, puppy, and little bird. We've got plenty of food and enough board games and books and instruments to last a very long long while. I'm going to use this as a time to practice music and write songs. It's funny, although we are all keeping our distance from one another; I've felt a growing sense of community. All be it remote. I'll keep making videos as much as I can, maybe even put out some silly short ones for fun so you all don't get too bored living indoors. I just want you to know that I'm grateful for your viewership and kind words. And remember, this too will pass because as George so eloquently sang "All things must pass". Thanks for watching!

Crazy to think that he made that album at the age of 26
@Kelvinack

Why is it crazy to think that? You are the most creative in your youth, young people are who change the world with ideas. Dylan wrote his best songs when he was like 20, McCartney wrote his best songs when he was 20, George was actually kinda late, I mean he wrote his first good song at 23...

I couldn’t imagine being a 20 or 21 year old in 1970 and hearing this album for the first time, it was the ultimate “in your face” album, the album that cemented Harrison as an amazing songwriter who didn’t need the other Beatles.

I was just listening to this album yesterday. It such a complete and rich suite of songs. It works better as a complete album than any of the Beatles', in my opinion. I love "Concert for George" because you can see/hear how many players it took (two drummers, 6 guitars, 2-3 keyboards, horns, strings) to make this symphonic masterpiece. Another well-done video! Keep them coming!

In the “My Sweet Lord” Lawsuit the judge used the song’s presence on ‘All Things Must Pass” as part of the calculation of monetary damages. Since it could be reasoned that “My Sweet Lord” increased the sales of ‘All Things Must Pass” and George thus profited more from “He’s So Fine” due to the increase in Album sales... George had to pay more... Same thing with one of his Greatest Hits albums...

Very nice. Struggling to get his songs heard, or recorded made him sort of an underdog.. Or a Dark Horse... Good to see the underdog get his day. Perhaps people mistake silence for humility. George wasn't the quiet Beatle, he was the humble Beatle. And poor Ringo was left even further in the shadows for a while..

I wish reporting were more balanced. Often not reported is that George prevailed in that lawsuit. He gained the rights to He's So Fine and ended up paying only about $800k. I relate to George. Always the underdog, misunderstood, not taken seriously from the beginning as too young. Think. John and Paul had each other, George Martin, and others I'm sure. George did it by himself, which makes him better. He contributed so much and got very little recognition. It was no wonder he needed to break away and was bitter for a time until he realized what a wasted emotion it was. I love George Harrison. I learned my life lessons through him and his music. What a gift!

Thank you so much for your hard work putting these videos together! And now, for my two cents, Paul and John seemed to always be so blind when it came to George Harrison's talent. In my opinion, they slighted him again and again on albums when he had brilliant songs to add. They just didn't get it. When the Beatles split, I wasn't at all surprised when George released All Things Must Pass. It was overwhelming. And, as an admirer of George from the time I was 7, I was thrilled. I bought my copy immediately! It got me through some really hard times and I still listen to George almost daily to lift my spirits. My then-husband thought I needed to be in hospital when George passed. We knew it was coming, but how do you say goodbye to someone who meant the world to you? Now, you're really going to think me daft, but everyone in my family names our cars. I drive VWs. Can you think of of a better name for a Beetle? Not in my world! Peace. Again, thank you for the time, work and encyclopedic knowledge you pour into these videos. By the way, I'm 62 and have a pretty encyclopedic knowledge of rock music and a great deal of trivia floating around in my brain. I'm retired now and sheltering in place with my wee dog. So, if you should ever have questions or if I could do any research for you, let me know...🌻

In addition to those mentioned, other notable players on the album were members of Delaney & Bonnie's band, three of whom - Bobby Whitlock, Carl Radle, & Jim Gordon - formed Derek and the Dominos with Clapton. Additionally, Alan White, Dave Mason, Peter Frampton, Ringo Starr, Billy Preston, Gary Brooker, Pete Drake, Gary Wright, and the group Badfinger contributed. It's a shame that a very detailed documentary film has not been done on the making of this album.

We, of our Baby Boomer Age we're so blessed to have heard the greatest music of all time. The further you go back in the 20th Century the better music gets; that goes for before many of us were born. @@Fiddlesticks62 I find the English language to be an extraordinary beautiful thing. The double entendre, the humour and the fact that you can say something and have an entirely different, often more poignant conversation with it. But I can also appreciate the ‘slaughter’ of it, as you put it. It’s a gorgeous thing and I love it dearly. Some of Churchill’s retorts still make me smile. The idiotic Goon Show totally strangles the language, but it’s funny as fuck. The deeper you look into it, the richer it is. Shakespeare, Noel Coward and yer crafty cockney (to purloin a prominent comedians turn of phrase. It’s an ocean of goodness. Here I must declare an interest. I am an Englishman, but have long resided elsewhere. However, I try to not let perfection taint my opinions in this matter. Bobby Whitlock and CoCo Carmel have been upload videos for about a year now and they provide real insight to All Things Must Pass and Layla and so much more. I really highly recommend them.

And no less... Listening to his rare early songs, in his subsequent maturation as an author he owes much to having witnessed the creation of the music of two dudes such as Paul and John (and collaborated, discussed, with them so closely, having experience of such creations), there is little to do about it I think. A lucky guy ^^ (I love him but I also admit that I never digested much of his words in the eighties, like "The Beatles? Good yes, but in the end they weren't that different from The Moonkes" -.-).

I recently completed my personal Top-10 list of favorite Beatles' songs, & in the end, two of them were George's. That says a lot by way of comparison, given the output of the other lads in the band. lol... Two out of ten, isn't bad.

It would've been near impossible for George to have written those songs as anyone other than as a Beatle cause he was essentially a Beatle since his young teens.
