The bamboo flute, or bansuri, being played was not live, it was dubbed. She wasn't really playing it. A much smaller and higher pitched flute was actually being played on the recording, and the lady was just miming or pretending to play it. If she had actually been playing the flute, it would have had a much lower and more mellow sound. Her fingers are moving, but not in sync with the music.

I looked up the original. Its her playing it but not with this video. She plays it on a slightly smaller g bass flute which is still big but its higher octave giving higher pitcg which made you think its small flute bansuri

It’s not a flute, it’s called a bansuri, and a santoor is an instrument of Persian origin, not Indian, although widely adopted in Indian music.

That is a ravanhatta or ravanstron in the video. A chikara is like a sarangi but with a round belly, and yes found mostly in Rajasthan.

it is not Ektara, it is Ektar. Ektara is a little different instrument. it is similar but it has 2 thin small bamboo plates in the side ( 1 in each side)

Glad someone noticed it! And it's so blatantly obvious from her finger movements (the sound being produced requires a lot of finger movements, ornamentations and volume control); furthermore I think the tune is not even from that flute but rather a high pitched smaller flute. Her imperfect grip also gives it away.

why there is not original sound of bansuri when showing the girl playing on bass bansuri? the sound and the video are representing two different instruments.... the sound belongs probably to Venu ..it is side blown bamboo flute , mid-high pitched, similar to bansuri ..but Venu has roots in southern Indian traditional musicm and the bass bansuri illustrated on video is used in northern Indian traditional music
