He’s in a very hard, echoey room, which makes some of these sound more harsh than they might in different settings. Like bagpipes are supposed to audible outdoors to lots of soldiers in battle, for example, so indoors they can be overwhelming.

Saz, kemence, ney.. these are all persian originated instruments and their names are literally rooted in the persian language. saz means 'to make/compose', kamanche means 'little bow', ney is 'straw/tube'.

Well for the stringed instruments at least, if they have consistent tuning schemes you'd really only need to learn two or three left handed parts, and only have to learn the different picking/strumming patterns for each

This proves that the saying "Jack of all trades, master of none", isn't true
@keithbray94166 жыл бұрын
fun fact - there's a second half to that phrase - the whole thing is "Jack of all trades, but master of none, is better than a master of one"

music is one trade, and, anyway, the saying doesn't isn't commonly used to mean one can not be a master of many trades, but that some who try their hand at everything are no good at anything. The comment by Keith Bray lets me know that wasn't the original intention

Le a kalappal! Őszinte elismerésem! Gyönyörű hangszergyűjtemény és hozzá méltó tehetség. Ráadásul a hagyományos hangszerek hangja él, szemben a modern társaik hangjával, ami ebben a sziporkázó bemutatóban is jól kitűnt. Köszönet azért, hogy ablakot nyít számunkra egy olyan letűnt világra, ami sok szempontból emberibb volt. I take my hat off! Here goes my sincere recognition of you. A splendid compilation of instruments with a worthy talent to match it. And to top it all off, the sound of traditional musical instruments is alive unlike that of their modern counterparts, which is well presented in this brilliant demonstration. I thank you for opening a window for us onto a bygone time which in many respects was more humane.
