It was a lame premise, and the whimsy got old really fast. Bryan Fuller created one good show, Dead Like Me, and thankfully had very little to do with it, which is why it's the only one I liked. ;)

Amy Adam’s acting is so terrible here that it’s actually jarring. It takes me out of the story and I’m just left watching a woman awkwardly recite lines in a manner of speaking which she clearly isn’t comfortable with. Her lack of naturalness shatters any chance of being swept away by the story. It’s a real shame because Lee Pace is throwing so much charisma at it; it could have very enjoyable.
