Ä horse walks into a bar. Barman says "Why the long face?"
@TimK26468 ай бұрын
A horse walks into a bar... The bartender says, "Hey". The horse replies, "Sure". A turtle walks into a bar and orders some water. The bartender gives that turtle a glass of water and the turtle slowly walks away with it. The next day, the turtle comes again with the same order. This repeats for four days, but on day 5 the bartender decides to ask the turtle: Man, why do you just order water. Wouldn’t you like to try some cocktails or something? The turtle replies: Not now, man, my house is on fire!

Cool FAQs, Steve. I think you've got it covered! I get blown away by some comments on the GOM vlogs. People who claim to watch that program regularly sometimes still don't get what the deal is with how you two interact there. Some people never learn. It is like every day they wake up, they are a newborn and have to relearn things. I imagine that might plague them in everyday life as well. Always a great watch both here and on GOM. Yours is amongst 7 or 8 different YT vlogs that convinced me to visit Thailand from The States last year to see if it was a viable retirement spot. I get the 'old school/traditional' Thailand piece from people like yourself, and the touristy etc stuff from some others. I have lived here for 2 months now and have enjoyed every single day. I hope to live here many, many years. Side note - Chris Parker's YT work made my traveling here so much easier, especially my 1st trip. His videos are fantastic and professional - and he seems genuine in his desire to help others have a smooth transition to Thailand.

8 or 9 years ago I had Thai driver's licences that I stupidly let expire. Now, at 76, the local office seems to want to make reissue more difficult. Since we are fortunate enough to be able to return to the US periodically I just go to the AAA every year and give them $20 for a new International licence. We also visit Europe periodically. It's getting more difficult to find car rentals there if you are over 70. I drive motorcycles in our rural area and to the village, but anything more than that and it's the car or truck. Driving in Thailand CAN be a challenge. The nearby city of Prachinburi has 2 traffic lights. If you don't learn to "drive same-same Thai" you can grow old and die trying to make a right turn at an uncontrolled intersection. Stopping to allow a pedestrian cross the street only causes confusion and puts them at greater risk. 😅
