winterland was the place to be in the city during late sixties and early seventies. Saw this show along with many great bands. senior in high school. girls everywhere as far as the eye could see...

I saw TYA a few months later on that tour in Fort Worth. One of the top 5 concerts I saw in my life 1970-1992 (over 200). The only others that came close were THE WHO 71, 73, and 76 , Deep Purple 73 and 75, and Van Halen 78.

Alvin Lee was the definitive rock star - chiseled good looks, a great distinctive vocal style and fantastic guitarsmanship. One of the very greatest rock stars of all time. Not to be forgotten is the awesome bass guitar of Leo Lyons as well. TYA was an underrated rock act, far better than most realized, and not near enough U.S. radio play...
