Unfortunately in the NYC market, the attitude is to lawyer up immediately because lots of people don’t want to work with the landlord as soon as they default, which is sad. And knowing if there’s a child or children involved, the tenants know an eviction can take 12+ months. As much as you vet your tenants, they’re great until they’re not.

Not trying to be negative, I’ve had more success than not, and it shouldn’t be a deterrent to invest in the NYC market. Just do your due diligence in any market so you can stay on top and have the best experience and return. This video is great and I love that i found this channel.
